About the tournament
The ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 is the first Major tournament of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit season.
Participants:
- Sixteen teams:
- Four teams each from Europe and China;
- Three teams from Southeast Asia;
- Two teams each from North America and the CIS;=
- One team from South America;
Stage 1: Wild Card — 27.03.2021 - 28.03.2021:
- One group of six teams;
- Single round-robin;
- All matches are Bo2;
- The top three teams advance to the group stage;
- The remaining teams are eliminated;
Stage 2: Group Stage — 29.03.2021 - 30.03.2021:
- One group of eight teams;
- Single round-robin;
- All matches are Bo2;
- The top three teams advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs;
- Teams finishing in 4th–7th place advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs;
- The team finishing in 8th place is eliminated;
In the event of a tie between teams, the following rules apply:
If the tie in the standings affects tournament standings:
- An additional Bo1 series;
If a tie in the standings has no bearing on the tournament:
- Head-to-head result;
- Results of matches against the lower-seeded team;
- Ranking by time;
- Coin toss:
Playoffs — 31.03.2021 - 04.04.2021:
- Double-elimination bracket;
- All matches, except the Grand Final — Bo3;
- Grand Final — Bo5.
