Bio

Zhang Bach Ruida (also known by the nickname Faith_bian) is a top offlaner from China. His mainstays can be considered Slardar, Magnus and Beastmaster

Faith_bian's career started from 2014, back then he played for Speed Gaming.cn team. In the 2014-2015 season, Zhang moved to Wings Gaming. The team created a crazy sensation in 2016, when it showed incredible stability and turned from an ordinary mid-tier and outsider to a world champion in a week. After The International 2016 (TI6), Wings won mini-tournaments like Nanyang Dota 2 Championships - Cruise Cup #1 and Northern Arena BEAT Invitational

After a while, Wings' results started to deteriorate and Faith_bian moved to EHOME. With the new team, the player was able to partially regain some of his former glory, thanks to a win at The Bucharest Minor 2019 and a 5th-6th place finish at home The Chongqing Major.

Faith_bian's career peaked after his move to PSG.LGD. As a member of the new team he showed a fantastic game, the team constantly took top places in most of the tournaments where they participated: top 3 at ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021, championship at WePlay AniMajor & OGA Dota PIT Invitational, and the main tournament for PSG. LGD in 2021 was The International 2021 (TI10), where the Chinese club was the main favorite, but lost in the historic final to Team Spirit 2:3 and Faith_bian was one step away from Aegis - $5,202,400 per team for PSG.LGD.

Faith_bian continued to play for PSG.LGD well into 2022. The team dominated the region and also excelled in international tournaments. For example, they won the championship at the Riyadh Masters 2022 and finished second at PGL: Arlington Major 2022. At The International 2022 (TI11), PSG.LGD takes 5th-6th place and is knocked out by Team Aster. Faith_bian announces the end of his career.

In December 2023, Faith_bian announces his return to the professional scene. Zhang has moved to Azure Ray, and has also changed his nickname to Bach. This is due to the fact that the Chinese player's lifelong dream is to learn to play the piano and perform Bach's masterpiece "Goldberg Variations". After all, only the best and most respected pianists are able to do this.

In 2024, with the new team, the player qualified for such tournaments as BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22, Elite League 2024 #1, PGL Wallachia: Season #1 and DreamLeague Season 23, even winning some of them. In June, the qualifiers for the two biggest tournaments of the year - Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024 - started, but Bach could only qualify for the Riyadh Masters, where he placed 20th.

In August, Bach participated with Azure Ray in the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational, where they finished in 7th place. After that, the team successfully qualified for PGL Wallachia Season 2 representing China.

In September 2024, Bach left Azure Ray, and in January of the following year, he became a member of Tidebound. Under the new tag, the player debuted on PGL Wallachia: Season 3, where he took 7th-8th place.

On March 30, 2025, at FISSURE Universe Ep.4, Tidebound lost to Gaimin Gladiators in the lower bracket final, finishing in 3rd place. At ESL One Raleigh 2025 in April, the roster failed to advance beyond the group stage.

Later, at the end of April, the team competed at PGL Wallachia Season 4, where they lost in the quarterfinals of the lower bracket playoffs and left the tournament, finishing in 4th place.

In May, Tidebound participated in BLAST SLAM III, where they lost in the Playoff quarterfinals and exited the tournament in 5th–6th place.

  • On May 14, 2025, the Chinese esports organization All Gamers Global fully acquired the TideBound Dota 2 roster.

In June 2025, Tidebound competed at PGL Wallachia Season 5 but failed to reach the playoffs. The team also failed to qualify for Riyadh Masters 2025, and after that, the team was removed from the Chinese esports organization All Gamers Global.

On July 3, 2025, Tidebound finished their run at FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 after losing in the lower bracket quarterfinal.

In August 2025, Tidebound became the champions of Clavision DOTA2 Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi, and the team also earned $213,500 in prize money.

In September, Tidebound participated in The International 2025 where they managed to reach the playoffs but lost in the lower bracket and exited the tournament, finishing in 7-8th place.

On January 24, it became known that Zhang Bach Ruida became part of Vici Gaming.
