FISSURE Universe: Episode 5

FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 is a online tournament, organized by FISSURE as part of the FISSURE Universe series.

The event, which took place from 01.07.2025 to 04.07.2025, 10 teams competed for the prize pool of 250 000$. Location: Europe

 

Participants: 

• 10 teams;
  • 8 invited teams;
  • 2 play-in teams.

Group Stage - 01.07.2025 - 02.07.2025:

• Two groups of five teams each;
• All matches are Bo2;
• The top teams from each group advance to the top bracket;
• The 2nd and 3rd place teams from each group advance to the lower bracket;
• The remaining teams are eliminated.

Tiebreaker rules:

If a draw in the table has tournament significance

• Two teams - a Bo3 series will be played;
• Three or more teams - a Bo1 round-robin will be played;
• If the dispute is not resolved after the first round:
  • 3 teams - an additional round of replays;
  • Four teams or more - if the score is tied and the result remains undecided after the first round, the tournament administration may decide to allow a draw.
• At the discretion of the organizer, in a situation where participants advance to the next stage, the tiebreaker match can be replaced with a coin toss.

If a draw in the table has no tournament significance

1. Berger or Buchholz coefficient;
2. Based on the results of personal meetings;
3. If necessary, the truncated Buchholz coefficient is used;
4. Additional 1v1 match - time limit - 15 minutes.
5. If, within 15 minutes, none of the players has met any of the above conditions, the following formula will be used in descending order: Summary of creep statistics + Kills x 35.

Playoffs - 03.07.2025 - 04.07.2025:

• Double-elimination bracket;
• All matches except the Grand Final are Bo3;
• Grand Final - Bo5.
