Bio

Artour Arteezy Babaev is a Dota 2 pro-player with amazing skills and unusual taste in music who won the hearts of millions of fans from around the world. Thanks to his charming personality and tier-1 level of gameplay, Arteezy has become one of the most beloved members of the Dota 2 community. He is also one of the richest players of the International tournament who, unfortunately, has never placed.

Arteezy started playing Dota 2 after finishing high school, although he had achieved a high level of success in DotA and Starcraft II. His first professional team was Kaipi, where he managed to win many deserved awards, including victory at the MLG Championship Columbus and almost $68,000 in prize money. Later on, he joined the team S A D B O Y S, which won the Electronic Sports Prime Shock Therapy Cup, catching the attention of Evil Geniuses, which became Arteezy's main team.

Evil Geniuses demonstrated a brilliant game in the season, winning The Summit and taking second place at ESL One Frankfurt in 2014, which brought them a direct invitation to The International 2014. The team achieved great success at the tournament, finishing in third place and earning over $1 million. In the winter of 2015, Arteezy joined Team Secret, where he managed to win The Summit 3 and ESL One Frankfurt 2015, but they disappointed at The International 2015, finishing only in 7-8th place.

Arteezy followed zai and returned to Evil Geniuses, but their attempt to win The International 2016 ended in failure, finishing 13-16th. Despite this, Arteezy regained his place in the team on a permanent basis, and their strengthening by Fly and s4 helped them to take 3rd and 5-6th places at The International 2018 and 2019 respectively. Throughout this path, Arteezy continued to be an excellent player who is always ready to make an outstanding contribution to the team game.

Arteezy has consistently participated in The International series tournaments, finishing 9th-12th in 2021 and 2022. After this result, Evil Geniuses changed the roster and emphasized on Peruvian players from Thunder Awaken. Arteezy moved to Shopify Rebellion, in 2023 this team managed to take 4th place at Lima Major 2023, 3rd place at DreamLeague Season 19, 2nd place at DreamLeague Season 21, and 13-16th place at The International 2023.

Next year, SR competed in DreamLeague Season 22, where they placed 7th, ending their run in the group stage. The team then participated in ESL One Birmingham 2024, but once again failed to advance from the group stage or achieve notable results. Following these setbacks, Thiolicor left the roster, and Skem took his place. However, the roster change did not lead to improvement: at PGL Wallachia Season 1, Shopify Rebellion finished 9th-11th, and at DreamLeague Season 23, the team again did not pass the group stage.

In June, the qualifiers for Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International began, but the team was unable to reach the main event of either tournament, losing decisive matches in the qualification finals. Despite this, they received a direct invite to Elite League Season 2. However, at this tournament, Shopify Rebellion competed without Arteezy. In July 2024, Artour decided to take a break from Dota 2 and went inactive.
