Thunder Awaken is a Peruvian esports organization founded in 2017. The club originally competed under the name Thunder Awaken, later adopting the name Thunder Predator through a partnership with Acer's Predator brand. In 2022, after the partnership ended, the organization reverted to its original name.

Over the years, the club became one of South America's most prominent representatives and was a regular fixture among the region's top teams.

The first lineup was formed in March 2017. It included Juan vanN Carlos Tito, Bryan SmAsH Freddy, Jesús Ztok Carhuaricra, and Ricardo mtsco Román. Shortly afterward, Alexis Greedy Ventura became the fifth player.

2017-2020

The early years were marked by constant roster changes.

The organization competed primarily on the South American stage, with its only tier-1 appearance being participation in The Chongqing Major 2019.

At various points, the team's roster included Elvis Scofield De La Cruz Peña, Farith Matthew Puente, Frank Frank Ayala, Christian Accel Cruz, José Sword Nicosía, and many other South American representatives.

Despite the frequent changes, the squad gradually gained experience and increasingly reached the podium at regional events.

2021

The 2021 season was the organization's first major success, at which point it still competed under the name Thunder Predator.

The lineup of Frank, Joel MoOz Mori Ozambela, Leonardo Leostyle- Sifuentes, Oscar Oscar David Chávez Jiménez, and Matthew sensationally finished 5th-6th at ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021.

That result was one of the strongest achievements by a South American team on the international stage at the time and brought the organization worldwide recognition.

Strong DPC-season performances earned the squad a direct invitation to The International 2021, where they could not repeat the Singapore Major success.

2022

In February, the partnership with Predator ended, after which the organization returned to the Thunder Awaken name.

This year was the defining one for the club. The new-season lineup included Crhistian Antony Pakazs Savina Casanova, Gonzalo DarkMago Herrera, Rafael Sacred Yonathan, Farith Matthew Puente, and José Pandaboo Hernández.

Within the first months the team regularly placed high in the South American Division I of the DPC and also finished 5th-6th at ESL One Stockholm Major 2022, earning enough points for a direct invitation to The International 2022.

At the year's flagship event, Thunder Awaken reached the top-6, defeating Evil Geniuses and several other strong lineups. That result remains one of the strongest ever for South American Dota 2.

2023

After The International 2022, the strongest roster in the organization's history began to break apart.

Matthew and Pandaboo moved to Evil Geniuses, Sacred joined beastcoast, and other players also left the club. The organization had to essentially rebuild the roster from scratch.

Despite the major changes, Thunder Awaken managed to reach The International 2023, taking second place in the South American qualifier.

At the championship the team featured Alexey Smiling Knight Sviridov, Jordan SLATEM$ Vega, Mario ILICH- Valdivia, Rodrigo n1ght Cueva, and Romel Mjz Rojas.

However, the team finished near the bottom at the tournament and the roster began to fall apart almost immediately after the championship.

2024

For the new season the club unveiled yet another overhauled roster that included Edward Lumiere Guillen Valencia, DarkMago, Oscar, Moises Genek Asencios Santillan, and Mjz.

Some of these players had previously played under the organization's tag, but Thunder Awaken could not return to the group of South America's strongest teams.

After unsuccessful showings at several events, the organization disbanded the roster. The club has not fielded new Dota 2 rosters since, although no official statement on ending its activity in the discipline has been made.
