DreamLeague Season 24 is part of the ESL Pro Tour tournament cycle. During the event, the top 16 teams, according to ESL rankings, will draw a prize pool of 1 million dollars.
Participants:
- Sixteen teams:
- Seven teams from the regional qualifiers.
Group Stage 1 - 27.10.2024 - 30.10.2024:
- Two groups of 8 teams;
- Single round-robin;
- All matches are Bo2;
- Teams from 1st to 4th place from each group advance to the second group stage;
- Remaining teams are eliminated.
Group Stage 2 - 01.11.2024 - 07.11.2024:
- Single round-robin;
- All matches are Bo3;
- The top two teams advance to the top set of playoffs;
- The 3rd and 4th place teams advance to the lower playoff group;
- The remaining teams are eliminated.
Tiebreaker rules:
- If the tie is over a position of significance;
- Two teams - a Bo3 will be played;
- Three teams or more - a Bo1 round-robin will be played;
- If the tiebreaker does not resolve following the first round:
- Three teams - the tiebreaker will be replayed;
- Four teams or more - the matrix listed below will be used to resolve the tie, adding the information from the tiebreaker matches to those gathered during the group stage.
- For ties that are not over positions of significance (in order of importance):
- Neustadtl score;
- Head-to-head record between the tied participants taking only game score into account;
- Record vs the first team below the tied teams, continuing to each subsequent team below the tied teams til the tie is resolved;
- 1v1 tiebreakers.
- If there is with no schedule allowance and involves explicit elimination, then 1v1 tiebreakers will be played.
Playoffs - 09.11.2024 - 10.11.2024:
- Double-elimination bracket;
- All matches except the Grand Final are Bo3;
- Grand Final - Bo5.
