History

Nouns is an NFT project that opened its cybersport lineup in May 2022 by signing North American stack 4 Zoomers, which competed in the North American First Division.

The Nouns' inaugural roster included players who have long represented North America on the pro scene such as Nicholas Gunnar Lopez, David Moo William Hull, Zachary Zfreek Friedman and Jacob Husky Fific, while the kerry slot was filled by experienced Brazilian cybersports player Guglierme Costabile Silva Costabile. Prior to signing 4 Zoomers had been playing with this roster since the first round of the 2021/2022 DPC season. Like the previous versions of the mix, the collective confidently held its slot in the first division, behind only the three strongest teams in the region - TSM, Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew.

The progress of the roster after signing with the organization was not long in coming. Within the first month, Nouns won their first tournament victory, finishing in the top 1 of the BTS Pro Series Season 11: Americas. As Gunnar, the team's leader, admitted, with the appearance of salary and support, much of the pressure from the players was removed, because the representatives of the organization told them: "Guys, do not think about anything else, just get better". So, Nouns kicked off the summer DPC season right away with a resounding victory over Evil Geniuses, reaffirming the importance of the club's support. The squad soon traveled to a bootcamp in Philadelphia, where they played the majority of the competition's matches. The DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I team finished 6-1, losing only to Quincy Crew. However, a successful performance during the summer tour did not guarantee Husky a spot on the PGL Dota 2 Major Arlington 2022 - the fate of two region slots at the last major of the season was to be decided in a replay between Nouns, Quincy Crew and Evil Geniuses. Unfortunately, Nouns failed to qualify and the Evil Geniuses team took the tournament ticket

In 2023, after a fairly positive result at TI 23 (7th-8th place), the team was expected to be disbanded. The team currently includes: Tal Fly Isaac, Rodrigo Lelis Lelis Santos, Nicolas Gunnar Lopez, Daniel Stormstormer Choetzau, later Yuma Yuma Langlet joined them. They qualified for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, where they finished in 2nd place and failed to qualify for the main tournament.

In January 2024, Nouns participates in the qualifiers for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024. They managed to pass the qualifiers only at BB Dacha Dubai 2024, at the other qualifiers the team took 2nd place. At the tournament in Dubai Nouns failed to get out of the group stage and took 9-12th place.

In addition, Nouns participated in qualifying for such tournaments as Elite League 2024, DreamLeague Season 23 and PGL Wallachia: Season #1, two of which they managed to qualify for. Thus, the team took 21st place on Elite League, and on PGL Wallachia - 14.

Closer to summer, the qualifiers for the two most important tournaments of the year - The International 2024 and Riyadh Masters 2024 - started, through which the guys got through to the main stage without much difficulty.

At the Riyadh Masters 2024, the team failed to achieve high results and finished in 18th place. Immediately after the tournament in Riyadh, Nouns participated in the Elite League Season 2, where they finished in 6th place. The next event was FISSURE Universe Ep. 3,, where the roster couldn't reach the playoffs and ended up in 6th place.

At The International 2024, Nouns took 9-12th place, losing to BetBoom Team in the lower bracket of the playoffs. Later, the team successfully qualified for DreamLeague Season 24 and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, as well as competed at PGL Wallachia Season 2, where they took 6th place. In the middle of October, Nouns did make an appearance at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade, but didn't even advance out of the group, finishing in last place at the tournament.

After a disappointing performance at the DreamLeague series tournament, Nouns representatives announced that the organization is suspending its activities in the Dota 2 discipline due to financial difficulties.
