History

Heroic is a norwegian esports organization founded in 2016. It has squads for Counter-Strike, Fortnite and PUBG, and signed a Dota 2 squad in 2024.

The squad includes players such as Matheus KJ Diniz, Joao 4nalog Giannini, Hector K1 Rodriguez, Elvis Scofield Peña and Cedric Davai Lama Dekmin. After announcing their roster, Heroic received a direct invitation to participate in their region's closed qualifiers for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, but finished second and did not receive an invitational into the main part of the tournament.

Later, the team made it through the qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 22, but only placed fifteenth. In the following championship season, Heroic received a direct invite to participate in the closed qualifiers and took first place. However, it can be noted that the newly formed squad has proven itself on the professional scene. Thus, the guys are successfully moving forward, earning themselves a ticket to ESL One Birmingham, where eventually finished in 8th place. Next was PGL Wallachia Season 1, where Heroic ended up in 16th place. The best performance at that time was at DreamLeague Season 23, where the team reached the playoffs and finished in 7th place.

After a good performance at DreamLeague, the team performed well at the qualifiers for Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024, where they easily secured a spot. At the Riyadh Masters the guys placed thirteenth. They also finished tenth at Elite League Season 2, where they had previously received a direct invitation. In September, the guys went to TI13, but after the group stage fell to the lower bracket, where they were defeated by Aurora Gaming and left the championship.

In early October, the team went to PGL Wallachia Season 2, where they showed a great result, taking first place in the group. In the playoffs, the team advanced to the upper bracket final, where they were defeated by Team Falcons. Despite this, Heroic managed to take revenge against the Arab team in the grand final. It was the first time that the South American team became champions of such a major tournament and earned the first trophy for the region.

The next tournament for the team was DreamLeague Season 24, but Heroic showed not so successful result there and could not even get out of the group stage, and also did not qualify for ESL One Bangkok 2024. After that, the club kicked David Parker Nijo Flores from the roster. Heroic also failed at BLAST SLAM I, finishing in 7th-8th place.

In December 2024, Davai Lama left Heroic, and in January 2025, Wisper and Yuma joined the team. In February 2025, the renewed roster placed 8th at FISSURE PLAYGROUND and DreamLeague Season 25. In March, the team competed at PGL Wallachia Season 3, but failed to advance past the group stage. On March 30, Scofield left the club's main roster and was replaced by Matthew, who joined the team as a stand-in.

At the beginning of April, the team participated in ESL One Raleigh 2025, but they were also unable to reach the playoffs in this tournament, as well as at PGL Wallachia Season 4.

In June 2025, Heroic qualified for The International 2025 and also secured a slot at Riyadh Masters 2025, through the South American qualifier. However, at PGL Wallachia Season 5, the team once again failed to advance to the playoffs. On FISSURE Universe: Episode 5, the team finished in the top 4.

In July 2025, Heroic ended their participation in Riyadh Masters 2025, finishing in 14th place and earning $50,000 in prize money.

In September, Heroic participated in The International 2025, reaching the playoffs but losing in the lower bracket and finishing in 5–6th place. Almost immediately after the tournament ended, the organization bid farewell to assistant coach Andrei-Vlad Mangusupma Sateanu.

On September 19, it became known that 4nalog left Heroic and announced he is looking for a new team. The next day, the organization announced that Wisper had left the offlane position, and Davai Lama took his place.

At the end of October, Heroic participated in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, where they finished in 6th–8th place after losing in the first round of the Playoff stage. The team finished PGL Wallachia Season 6 with the same result.

In early January 2026 Heroic officially announced the signing of Brazilian support player Thiago Thiolicor de Oliveira Cordeiro. He replaced Peruvian player Elvis Scofield De la Cruz Pena, who left the club last month and has since joined Peru Rejects.

On January 16, it became known that Santiago TaiLung Aguero Gustavo had joined the main roster. As a result, Adrian Wisper Cespedes Dobles, who previously played in the mid lane, changed roles and moved to the offlane.

At the beginning of the year, the team’s results started to decline. At BLAST Slam V and DreamLeague Season 27, the roster failed to reach the playoffs.

In February, HEROIC competed at BLAST Slam VI, where they finished in 5th-6th place, the same result they achieved at PGL Wallachia Season 7, which took place in March.

PGL Wallachia Season 8 was not very successful for the roster, as the team managed to reach the playoffs but was eliminated in the first round.

A month later, in May, the organization announced its departure from Dota 2 due to financial problems and disbanded the roster.
