Elite League Season 1: format, schedule, results, and tournament bracket

Elite League Season 1 is an online Dota 2 championship that took place from 31.03.2024 to 14.04.2024. Twenty-four teams competed for a prize pool of $960,000.

The tournament began with a group stage, which was held in two stages. In the first stage, 16 teams competed in a Swiss system group with Bo3 matches. At the end of the first stage, eight teams advanced to the Round Robin stage, while the remaining teams left the competition. In the second stage, eight more participants were eliminated from the championship, and the rest advanced to the playoffs.

The playoff bracket was double-elimination. All matches were Bo3, except for Bo5 in the grand final.

Results of the final day (14.04.2024):

Xtreme Gaming defeated Azure Ray in the lower bracket final and Team Falcons in the grand final. The Chinese team took home $300,000 from the prize pool, while Falcons, who finished as runners-up, received $150,000. The match ended with a score of 3-1.

Day 1

The first day of the Swiss stage has come to an end. The most unexpected event of the day was the victory of the South American team Heroic over Tundra Esports, with the series ending 2-1.

Day 2

The second day of the Swiss stage has come to an end. Entity, BOOM, and OG have taken the lead in the group. Virtus.pro, KEV, and 9Pandas have failed to win a single map for the second day in a row and are close to elimination.

Day 3

The third day of the Swiss stage has come to an end. Entity Gaming and BOOM Esports have advanced to the second group stage, while 9Pandas and Rest Farmers have left the tournament.

Day 4

The fourth day of the Swiss stage has come to an end. As a result, three teams have left the tournament: kev, Nouns, and Nigma Galaxy.

Day 5

The fifth day has come to an end, and the first stage of the group stage has come to a close. Blacklist International, HEROIC, and Aurora, with a replacement for the carry, won today's series and are moving on. Virtus.pro, Team Secret, and Talon Esports are leaving the tournament. Thus, all participants in the second stage of the group stage have been determined.

Day 6
Group А

Heroic suffered their first defeat of the championship in a match against G2.IG, but defeated Team Spirit, who started the tournament with a loss. Team Falcons got off to a successful start, defeating PSG Quest. OG shared points with G2.IG and won their series against Entity Gaming.

Group В

Tundra Esports won their opening match against BOOM Esports. BetBoom Team suffered two defeats in their matches against Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid. Aurora Gaming defeated Blacklist International and shared points with BOOM Esports.

Day 7
Group А

Entity Gaming took the lead in the group, beating Team Spirit 2-0. Next is G2.iG, which drew with Azure Ray today, and Team Falcons, whose match with Team Spirit ended in a draw, closes out the top three.

Group В

Aurora Gaming leads Group B, having played two draws today against Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators. The next three teams, Tundra Esports, Team Liquid, and Gaimin Gladiators, have the same number of points.

Day 8
Group А

Team Falcons won three out of four maps today and moved into first place. Team Spirit has only won one map in the three days of the second stage of the group stage and is close to being eliminated from the tournament.

Group В

Team Liquid became the leader of Group B, defeating Gaimin Gladiators with a score of 2:0. Among the outsiders of the group, the positions have not changed since yesterday.

Day 9
Group А

Team Spirit won their first match of the tournament, defeating OG on two maps.

OG managed to revive itself by defeating Falcons, which brought the second team its first defeat. However, Team Falcons still remains the leader of the group.

Group В

Today, all matches ended in a draw, except for the confrontation between Blacklist International and BetBoom Team, where the latter won. The leader of the group remained unchanged.

Day 10
Group А

Team Falcons remains the group leader, having already secured its place in the playoffs. Next is PSG.Quest, which defeated Team Spirit today. Azure Ray closes out the top three, having defeated Entity today. At the same time, Team Spirit and Heroic became the first teams to leave the second stage of the group stage.

Group В

There were no major changes in Group B, with the top three remaining the same: Team Liquid, Tundra Esports, and Aurora Gaming. All three teams played their series today to a draw. Blacklist International lost to Xtreme Gaming, their third defeat, and the team is now leaving the tournament.

Day 11
Group А

Team Falcons secured a slot in the upper bracket of the playoffs. OG, Entity, Team Spirit, and HEROIC are leaving the tournament. Azure Ray defeated G2 Invictus Gaming in the Group A rematch. The Chinese team won two victories over their opponents and advanced to the upper bracket of the championship playoffs.

Group В

Team Liquid and Xtreme Gaming secured their places in the upper bracket of the playoffs. Tundra Esports and Gaimin Gladiators also advanced to the main stage of the tournament, but will compete in the lower bracket. Aurora, BetBoom Team, BOOM Esports, and Blacklist International are leaving the tournament.

Day 12

At the end of the day, G2.iG and Tundra Esports are leaving the event after defeats in the lower bracket. Team Liquid lost to Azure Ray and dropped to the lower bracket. The same happened to Xtreme Gaming, which lost the series to Team Falcons.

Day 13

Team Liquid won their match against Gaimin Gladiators, but lost to Xtreme Gaming in the next round and left the tournament. Team Falcons defeated Azure Ray in the upper bracket final and advanced to the grand final of the tournament, where they will face the winner of the match between the two Chinese teams from the lower bracket.
