Aurora Gaming is a Russian-Serbian esports organization founded in 2022 by Valery L3rich Kharitonov.

Initially, the club focused on Counter-Strike and Apex Legends teams, and in November 2023, it unveiled its first Dota 2 roster by signing the former Talon Esports team, which at the time was one of the strongest teams in Southeast Asia.

The first roster included Nuengnara 23savage Teeramahanoon, Armel Armel Tabios, Anucha Jabz Jirawong, Worawit Q Mekchai, and Chan Oli Chong Kien.

2024

Aurora’s first full season proved to be inconsistent. Despite regularly competing in Tier 1 tournaments, the team rarely finished higher than sixth place and was never able to establish itself as a consistent title contender.

During the season, the organization made roster changes: Armel Armel Tabios left the roster and was replaced by Artem Lorenof Melnik. However, even after these changes, the team’s results remained inconsistent.

The main achievement of the year was reaching the top 8 at The International 2024, but after the tournament ended, the organization began rebuilding the roster, trying out many different players.

2025

Following extensive changes, the Aurora roster was not finalized until February 2025. The updated roster included Yegor Nightfall Grigorenko, Gleb kiyotaka Zyryanov, Nikita panto Balaganin, as well as The International 2021 champions Alexander TORONTOTOKYO Hertek and Miroslav Mira Kolpakov.

Despite its star-studded lineup, the team still lacked consistency. At most major tournaments, Aurora finished around the top 6, and its biggest success of the year was a third-place finish at FISSURE Universe: Episode 5.

2026

Before the start of the new season, Aurora changed its roster again: Alexander TORONTOTOKYO Hertek and Chan Oli Chong Kien left the team, and their spots were filled by Chang Ws Wei Shen and Oleg kaori Medvedok.

Later, Rafli Mikoto Fathur Rahman joined the roster on a full-time basis; he had previously played for the team as a substitute in several tournaments back in 2025.

In January, the team was forced to play with a stand-in once again: Mikoto was busy arranging visas for upcoming LAN tournaments, and Artem Lorenof Melnik served as his temporary replacement.

Despite this, the substitution worked out well for the team: in the very first tournaments of the year, Aurora won FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 and DreamLeague Division 2 Season 3, and also set a world record for the longest winning streak—26 consecutive matches.

The victory at FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 marked the organization’s first major title since the Dota 2 roster was founded.

At the very next tournament, DreamLeague Season 28, Mikoto returned to the roster, and Aurora reached the grand final but lost to Tundra Esports.

The team’s results continued to improve, and at PGL Wallachia Season 8, the squad once again reached the final, where they lost to BetBoom Team.

Thanks to their successful results this year, Aurora was able to accumulate enough points to secure direct invitations to the Esports World Cup 2026 and The International 2026.
