Tournament The International 2022: Last Chance Qualifier

The International 2022: Last Chance Qualifier is a closed qualifier that is the last chance to qualify for The International 2022.

Participants:

• Twelve teams;
• Two from each region (2nd and 3rd place from each Regional Qualifier).

Group Stage - 08.10.2022 - 09.10.2022:

• Two groups of six teams;
• Single round-robin;
• All matches are Bo2;
• Top four teams in each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs;
• Remaining teams in each group proceed to the lower bracket of the playoffs.

Tiebreaker rules:

• If there is a tie along the Upper and Lower Bracket, an additional set of matches will be played:
  • Two teams - Bo3 match;
  • Three or more teams - Bo1 round-robin.
• The other ties will be resolved as follows, in descending order of importance:
  1. Head-to-head result between the tied teams;
  2. Result against lower seeded teams (from directly below till last place);
  3. If a tie can be broken along the way, the process is restarted;
  4. Coin toss.

Playoffs - 10.10.2022 - 12.10.2022:

• Double-elimination bracket;
• All matches are Bo3;
• Two teams qualify to the The International 2022.
