Bio
Luke YamSun Wang, known in the Dota 2 community as Yves, is an American professional player who holds the Carry position. He reached the impressive 10,000 MMR mark in May 2022.
YamSun began his cybersports career in January 2021, joining the Black N Yellow team to compete in the DPC League. The team managed to make it to the top division, where Luke and his team finished in sixth place after two rounds. At the qualifiers for The International 2021, Team Black N Yellow placed fourth, after which YamSun decided to leave the team.
He went on to join D2 hustlers, but did not play any significant tournaments under their banner. In December 2021, YamSun became a part of Wildcard Gaming, where he was able to reach his full potential. The team showed good results in the regional leagues, aiming for the majors, but the competition in the North American region was high. The team finished third at the qualifiers for The International 2022, which allowed them to participate in the last qualifiers for The International 2022, but the squad failed to qualify for the tournament.
In 2023 YamSun still participated in The International with Nouns, but after the team took 7th-8th place, they were disbanded. In the fall of the same year, Luke joined Yangzhiganlu, with whom he participated in the qualification for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 . However, at the stage of closed qualifications they finished fourth, losing in the semifinals of the lower grid.
In January 2024, the squad qualifies for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024. The team failed to qualify for any of the tournaments, with the highest result being 3rd place at the closed qualifiers at DreamLeague.
In March 2024, Yamsun joined Apex Genesis to participate in the qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 23, where the team finished 3rd. Next were the qualifiers for PGL Wallachia Season 1, where Apex Genesis again failed to make it to the tournament, finishing 5-6th. In the summer, the team participated in the qualifiers for Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024, where the lineup was close to success but finished 3rd and 2nd respectively. A month later, Apex Genesis participated in the qualifiers for Elite League Season 2, where the team achieved good results and advanced to the main part of the tournament, where they took 12th place. Later the team qualified for PGL Wallachia: Season #2 and made it to the top 2 at EPL WS: America S13.
January 9, 2025 Yamsun joined Wildcard. Roster performed at the FISSURE PLAYGROUND, where they took 14th place. In March, the team competed at PGL Wallachia Season 3, but failed to advance past the group stage, as well as at FISSURE Universe Ep.4 and PGL Wallachia Season 5.
In 2025, the team qualified for The International 2025 but couldn’t reach the playoffs and finished the tournament in 11th place.
On October 2, the organization Wildcard disbanded the roster, and it returned to the Apex Genesis tag and later was signed by GamerLegion.
In November, the team participated in PGL Wallachia Season 6 where they failed to advance past the group stage.
In early March 2026, he was moved to the club’s inactive roster.
