PGL Wallachia Season 8: community expectations and opinions

PGL Wallachia Season 8 kicks off tomorrow, and after CyberScore’s predictions, we suggest taking a look at the community’s opinion and how much it differs.

Main contenders

Tundra Esports and Team Yandex are considered the leaders of this tournament, however, the latter are given more preference, and there are several reasons for that: Tundra will play at least half of the tournament without their main carry, while Yandex have strengthened their roster with Dmitry DM Dorokhin, with whom they previously became champions of PGL Wallachia Season 7.

Streamer and content creator Gleb y0nd Vazhnov noted that with DM, the team will cover all its weaknesses, will definitely finish in the top 3, and has strong chances to win. He also highlighted midlaner Ilya CHIRA_JUNIOR Chirtsov, calling him an experienced and highly skilled player. He added that if the midlaner were to leave the roster for any reason, he would easily find a place in a top-tier team.

High placements are also predicted for PARIVISION, who recently won PREMIER SERIES, and Team Liquid, despite playing with a stand-in.

There is less faith in Team Falcons and Team Spirit, as the new patch has weakened both teams, and based on their recent results, expectations for high placements are gradually decreasing.

Evaluation of the remaining teams

BetBoom Team and Heroic, once considered strong contenders, have recently been showing weak form, and despite the community’s support for these teams, reaching the top 6 would already be a solid result, although confidence in this remains low.

The Chinese team Xtreme Gaming could deliver an unexpectedly strong performance. Many streamers point out the roster’s inconsistency, however, at certain tournaments the team “switches on” and can comfortably make it to the final. Their performance at The International 2025 is often cited as an example, where they were not expected to reach the grand final.

Another team that many had written off is MOUZ. The squad gained community support after the announcement of Artem Lorenof Melnyk joining them for this tournament.

Following success with Aurora Gaming, Melnyk became one of the best stand-in players and helped the team set a record of 26 consecutive wins.

Natus Vincere and GamerLegion are also expected to reach the playoffs, having gained even more fan support after their recent performances.

PGL Wallachia Season 8 will take place from 18.04.2026 to 26.04.2026 in Bucharest, Romania, where 16 teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool. You can follow the tournament in detail in our report.

Earlier, Cyberscore reported that bookmakers had named their favorites for the tournament.
