The grand final ended in a clean sweep by BB Team. Throughout all three maps, the team looked significantly stronger and gave their opponents no chance.

Results of previous match days:
Day 1
The first day of the PGL Wallachia Season 8 group stage has concluded, and we are summing up the results.
In most matches, the favorites secured victories, however, the highlight of the day was the clash between Team Falcons and Team Yandex. Many analysts expected an easy win for Yandex, as they are the reigning champions of the previous season.
In the end, the series finished with a 2:0 victory for Falcons, who dominated their opponent on both maps.
One of the biggest surprises was Heroic’s win over Tundra Esports, as many consider Tundra to be the main contender for the championship title.
PARIVISION, Xtreme Gaming, and BetBoom Team also secured confident wins on the opening day.
It is also worth noting PARIVISION’s strong form: the team has lost only one of their last 13 matches and will face Falcons tomorrow.
Additionally, despite doubts from the community, Team Spirit managed to defeat Vici Gaming with a 2:1 score and end the day with a win, playing with a stand-in at the tournament.
Day 2
The biggest upset was Tundra Esports’ 1:2 loss to Virtus.pro. On the first map, midlaner Bozhidar bzm Bogdanov finished with a 0:8 score on Ember Spirit. Many note that the roster change is affecting the team’s performance.
Team Yandex are also not in the best form, having lost to South American Rejects today. Tomorrow, they will face Natus Vincere in an elimination match, as NAVI previously lost to Vici Gaming and are still without a win.
BetBoom Team and Aurora Gaming are showing strong performances — teams from which many did not expect high results. Tomorrow, they will face Team Falcons and PARIVISION in matches for a playoff spot.
At the moment, the most popular hero is Hoodwink, picked 24 times with 11 wins. Rubick is second with 18 games and a 66% win rate. Many teams favor these heroes for their consistency and strong playmaking potential.
The worst-performing heroes of the tournament are Io and Gyrocopter, both were picked 4 times and have yet to win a single game.
Tomorrow, the first playoff teams will be determined, as well as the teams that will be eliminated from the tournament.
Day 3
Tundra Esports and Team Yandex had some of the worst results in the history of tags, being the first to be eliminated from the championship. As a reminder, Tundra competed with Alik V-Tune Vorobey, who had not played with the team before, which could have significantly impacted the results. But Yandex, which was joined before the tournament by Dmitry DM Dorokhin, had won the previous PGL Wallachia series event with him, yet unexpectedly failed at this championship.
The stand-in also weakened Team Spirit. The team failed to beat GamerLegion, whom they also couldn’t defeat at the PREMIER SERIES, where they played with the same roster, and now finds itself one step away from elimination. Meanwhile, Aurora Gaming and BetBoom Team secured spots in the playoffs.
Day 4
Unlike previous days of the tournament, the results of today’s matches were fairly predictable. Team Falcons, Team Liquid, and PARIVISION secured spots in the playoffs by defeating GamerLegion, Heroic, and SA Rejects. Natus Vincere, Vici Gaming, and Virtus.pro were eliminated after losing to Team Spirit, Xtreme Gaming, and MOUZ.
A highlight of today’s matches was Edgar 9Class Naltakyan’s pick of Lone Druid, a hero he had not previously played on the pro scene. The experiment backfired, and PARIVISION lost that map. However, if 9Class refines his latest unconventional strategy with LD, he may be able to force bans on him, just as he did at TI with Monkey King and Slark.
The final matches of the group stage will take place tomorrow, and all playoff participants will be determined.
Day 5
The group stage has come to an end, and all playoff participants have been determined. For the first time in a long while, two South American teams have advanced to the main stage of the championship: Heroic and SA Rejects eliminated GamerLegion and MOUZ from the competition. It should be noted that SA Rejects has also secured a spot in the playoffs for DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4, where they are competing simultaneously.
The final spot in the playoffs was secured by Team Spirit, who defeated Xtreme Gaming. The team clearly improved during the group stage. For the first time in the past month, the team won a series with a score of 2-0. On the second map against XG, Spirit managed to come back in the game from an 8-21 score, just as they had done so often before.
Day 6
PARIVISION, Aurora Gaming, Team Liquid, and BetBoom Team, which confidently advanced through the group stage, have secured their spots in the playoff semifinals. Heroic and SA Rejects, as expected, quickly found themselves in the lower bracket.
Team Spirit began to show promise toward the end of the group stage, but today, in their series against BB, they offered virtually no resistance, managing fewer than 10 kills across two maps. Now they face a tough matchup against Team Falcons, who fell short against Liquid today, though they were close on the first map.
Day 7
The seventh day at PGL Wallachia Season 8 has come to an end, and it’s time to summarize the results.
In the South American derby, SA Rejects came out on top, eliminating Heroic from the tournament. Team Spirit looked just as weak today as they did yesterday and, unsurprisingly, exited the championship after losing to Team Falcons.
BetBoom Team and Aurora Gaming advanced to the upper bracket finals and will battle for a spot in the grand final tomorrow, while Team Liquid and PARIVISION will continue their run in the lower bracket.
Day 8
The penultimate match day of PGL Wallachia Season 8 has come to an end, and the tournament is nearing its conclusion.
In the upper bracket, BetBoom Team faced Aurora Gaming for a spot in the grand final, and BB Team came out on top, winning the series 2:1.
In a post-match interview, carry player Ilya Kiritych Ulyanov highlighted the strength of Oracle on the third map and expressed the team’s readiness for the championship match.
In the lower bracket, Team Falcons surprisingly swept past PARIVISION with ease, then defeated Team Liquid, eliminating two top teams from the tournament and advancing to the lower bracket final.
Additionally, the Peruvian roster South American Rejects exited the tournament after losing to Liquid in the quarterfinals.
The final day will take place tomorrow, where the tournament champion will be decided.
