Tundra Esports finish ESL One Birmingham 2026 undefeated: results, format and full tournament details
The final day of ESL One Birmingham 2026 has come to an end, and we summarize its results.
Final game day:
In the lower bracket final, Team Yandex defeated Xtreme Gaming 2:0 and advanced to the grand final, where they had a chance to take revenge against Tundra Esports, who had beaten them in the upper bracket final.
Yandex started the series with a win, however, the European team then secured three maps in a row and claimed the championship title.
It is worth noting that throughout the tournament, Tundra did not lose a single series, finishing second in the group stage and then confidently advancing through the upper bracket.
Based on EPT points, Tundra Esports, Team Yandex, Xtreme Gaming, Aurora Gaming and PARIVISION have qualified for the Esports World Cup 2026. Meanwhile, Team Liquid, Team Falcons and BetBoom Team have dropped lower in the standings and will need to show strong performances in upcoming tournaments.
Recall that Team Spirit received a direct invitation as the champions of the Esports World Cup 2025.

Team distribution by groups — favorites and underdogs:
Group A
This group includes BetBoom Team, GamerLegion, MOUZ, PARIVISION, REKONIX, Team Yandex, Tundra Esports, and Yakult Brothers.
The favorites in the group are considered to be BB Team, PARIVISION, Yandex, and Tundra Esports, based on their results in recent tournaments.
At the recently concluded PGL Wallachia Season 7 championship, Team Yandex became champions, defeating Team Liquid in the grand final with a score of 3:2. BetBoom Team took 3rd place, while Tundra Esports lost to Team Spirit and finished the tournament in 5th-6th place.
It is noteworthy that it was Yandex who defeated BB Team in the upper bracket final, sending them to the lower bracket, where the team lost to Liquid and exited the tournament.
Tundra Esports’ form deserves a special mention. Despite finishing 5th-6th at PGL Wallachia, the team had previously become champions of DreamLeague Season 28. First, the team finished 1st-2nd in the group stage and defeated all opponents in the playoffs.
Group B
Group B features Aurora Gaming, Nigma Galaxy, OG, Team Falcons, Team Spirit, Virtus.pro, Xtreme Gaming, and paiN Gaming.
The top 4 are most often predicted to be Aurora, Falcons, Spirit, and Xtreme Gaming; however, it is difficult to predict the teams’ results in this group in advance, as many of them have shown inconsistent play in recent tournaments.
Aurora Gaming deserves special mention, as they recently set a record on the pro scene by winning 26 consecutive matches while playing with a substitute. However, after the return of Rafael Mikoto Fatura, the team slowed down and finished in 7th-8th place at PGL Wallachia Season 7.
Team Falcons have shown poor results in recent months, with their successful performances dating back to late 2025. A similar situation is observed with Xtreme Gaming, who are struggling to compete with other teams: over the last two tournaments, the squad has secured only 8 wins in 20 matches.
Analysts and media personalities also expect strong results from Team Spirit, as Denis Larl Sigitov has returned to the roster. However, concerns remain about the team’s inconsistent play, which stems from the arrival of new coach Milan MiLAN Kozomaru, and it is still unclear how quickly the players will be able to adapt to their new coach.
Tournament format:
ESL One Birmingham 2026 took place from 22.03.2026 to 29.03.2026. Sixteen teams competed for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 35,460 EPT points.
The group stage was held in a Round-Robin format with two groups of eight teams, and all matches were played in a Bo2 format. The top two teams from each group advanced to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the 3rd and 4th placed teams moved to the lower bracket. The remaining teams were eliminated from the tournament.
The playoff stage took place from 27.03.2026 to 29.03.2026 at the BP Pulse Live arena in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Results from previous match days:
Day 1
Group A
On the first day, MOUZ performed exceptionally well, defeating two favorable opponents—GamerLegion and Rekonix—with a score of 2-0.
Tundra Esports also demonstrated a high level of play, first defeating PARIVISION 2-0 and then just as confidently beating BetBoom Team.
Team Yandex also put in a solid performance, ending the day with a victory over Yakult Brothers and a draw against PARIVISION.
Group B
In Group B, the surprise of the day was the performance of the champions of The International 2025. Team Falcons lost to Aurora Gaming 0-2 and then drew with Xtreme Gaming. The top favorite started the tournament at the bottom of the group.
Team Spirit and Aurora Gaming occupy the top two spots in the group, having defeated their opponents and then split the maps in their head-to-head matchup.
Virtus Pro, Nigma Galaxy, OG, and Xtreme Gaming all finished their series in draws.
Day 2
Group A
In Group A, GamerLegion managed to draw with Tundra Esports and, surprisingly, secure a two-map victory over PARIVISION, giving the North American team a decent chance of advancing to the playoffs. Meanwhile, PV and BetBoom Team, which lost to MOUZ today, are on the brink of elimination. At the same time, MOUZ failed to defeat Yakult Brothers, while Team Yandex defeated REKONIX. The remaining matches ended in 1-1 draws.
Group В
In Group B, Aurora Gaming won both of today’s matches and sits in first place. Team Falcons proved stronger than Team Spirit and tied them in points. Virtus.pro also managed to climb higher in the standings thanks to a victory over paiN Gaming. Besides paiN, Nigma Galaxy remains among the underdogs.
Day 3
Group A
In Group A, REKONIX was the first to lose its chance to advance to the main stage of the championship after losing both of today’s matches. Tundra Esports defeated MOUZ and drew with Yakult Brothers, while Team Yandex secured a victory in two series. The remaining teams each won and lost one match.
Group B
In Group B, Aurora Gaming secured a spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs with two wins. Team Spirit is also close to advancing to the winners' bracket, having won both of its matches today. The remaining matches ended with a 1-1 score.
Day 4
Group A
In Group A, Team Yandex and Tundra Esports secured spots in the playoffs upper bracket. PARIVISION secured a spot in the lower bracket in the tiebreaker, where MOUZ also ended up. The remaining teams are leaving the tournament.
Group B
In Group B, Team Spirit joined Aurora Gaming in the upper bracket, while Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming will begin their run in the main stage in the lower bracket. The remaining teams have concluded their participation in the tournament.
Day 5
Team Yandex was stronger than Team Spirit today and sent the “dragons” to the lower bracket. All players on the TY roster continue to demonstrate the extremely high level of play they set in the group stage, despite the new patch. The only map that ended unsuccessfully was the one featuring the experimental carry Alchemist.
Meanwhile, Tundra Esports carry Ivan Pure Moskalenko found a way to make the new Alchemist work. He played all three maps with him against Aurora Gaming. Only the second game of the series ended in defeat, where Aurora’s carry had an excellent start.
Team Yandex and Tundra Esports will face off in the upper bracket final, while the lower bracket elimination matches will take place tomorrow.
Day 6
PARIVISION handily defeated Team Falcons, which were likely unprepared for Leshrac. The new patch clearly worked in PV’s favor. The team barely made it through the group stage, but with fresh ideas in the updated meta, they look very promising.
Xtreme Gaming eliminated MOUZ and defeated Team Spirit in a grueling match. After these series, Leshrac’s win rate for today remains at 100%, but at the same time, the equally meta-relevant Lifestealer proved ineffective on the pro scene, both in the hands of Xtreme and Spirit.
Tomorrow, Xtreme Gaming will face the winner of the PARIVISION vs. Aurora Gaming match for a spot in the top 3, while the Team Yandex vs. Tundra Esports series will determine the first grand finalist.
Day 7
In the upper bracket final, Tundra Esports confidently defeated Team Yandex with a 2-0 score and advanced to the grand final, while Yandex will have another chance in the lower bracket.
Over the series, midlaner Bozhidar bzm Bogdanov died only once, while carry Ivan Pure Moskalenko finished the games without dying.
After the release of the new patch, PARIVISION looked extremely confident, showing a significant difference in performance compared to the group stage, but it still was not enough for the team.
In the lower bracket, the team first defeated Aurora Gaming with a 2-0 score but then lost to Xtreme Gaming. The first map ended in their favor with a 22:1 kill score, however, Wang Ame Chunyu’s team won the next two maps, eliminating PVISION from the tournament.
Tomorrow will be the final match day, which will determine the tournament champion.
