Riyadh Masters 2024: format, schedule, results and bracket
Riyadh Masters 2024 is a Dota 2 championship held as part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and took place from 04.07.2024 to 21.07.2024. A total of 20 teams competed for a $5,000,000 prize pool.
The tournament was divided into three stages. In the first stage, teams from regional qualifiers were split into two groups as part of the Play-in stage, where they played in a Round-robin format. The top eight teams advanced to the second stage, the Group Stage, where they were joined by invited teams. After that stage, the ten strongest teams qualified for the playoffs, which were played in a double-elimination format.
Play-in and Group Stage matches were played in a Bo2 format, playoff matches in Bo3 and the grand final in Bo5.
Final day results (21.07.2024):
In the tournament grand final, Gaimin Gladiators confidently defeated Team Liquid with a 3–0 score to become the champions of Riyadh Masters 2024. For the victory, Gladiators earned $1,500,000, while their opponents received $800,000.
It is worth noting that this marks Team Liquid’s seventh loss in a grand final of a major event and their fifth final defeat specifically against Gladiators.

Day 1, Play-in
Group А
In Group A, Blacklist International confidently secured first place in the standings with a 3-1 map record. They are followed by LGD Gaming, Entity, Virtus.pro and beastcoast, all tied at 2–2.
The current outsider of the group is G2.iG, as the Chinese team managed to win only one map today.
Group B
HEROIC, Aurora Gaming and PSG Quest are among the top three teams in Group B. nouns and MOUZ showed solid performances, while Azure Ray suffered defeats on every map.
Day 2, Play-in
Group А
The leaders of Group A are Blacklist International and Entity. Both teams have already secured their spots in the next stage of the event. The outsiders of the group are LGD Gaming and G2.iG, as both clubs are dangerously close to elimination from the tournament.
Group B
In Group B, HEROIC and PSG Quest also advanced to the next stage of the tournament ahead of schedule. Meanwhile, Azure Ray became the first team to be eliminated - over two days of Riyadh Masters 2024, the team failed to win a single map.
Day 3
Group А
beastcoast have secured a spot in the next stage of the tournament. Meanwhile, Virtus.pro and LGD Gaming will face opponents from Group B tomorrow in matches for advancement, while G2.iG have been eliminated from the tournament.
Group B
In the group B, Aurora Gaming advanced to the next stage, while MOUZ and nouns will fight for a spot in the next phase tomorrow in decisive matches against teams placed 4th–5th in Group A.
Day 4
Group А
In Group A, HEROIC and Team Spirit are leading with a 3–1 record. OG, LGD Gaming, Aurora Gaming, Blacklist International and Gaimin Gladiators finished the day with a 2-2 record.
Meanwhile, Team Falcons unexpectedly turned out to be the clear outsider, failing to win a single map.
Group B
In this group, Tundra Esports, Entity, and BetBoom Team took the lead with a 2–0 record. Xtreme Gaming and Team Liquid showed average results, while beastcoast, PSG Quest, and MOUZ are currently among the outsiders.
Day 5
Group A
In Group A, OG claimed first place in the standings today. Team Falcons remain the main outsiders, although the team managed to secure their first victory of the tournament today.
Group B
Tundra Esports became the leader of Group B after today’s victory over Entity.
Day 6
Group А
Team Falcons recovered their position in the group by winning today’s series 2-0. Team Spirit and OG split points with their opponents, while Gaimin Gladiators secured a victory in today’s match.
Group B
Tundra Esports remain the leaders of Group B. WBG.XG lost today’s series and dropped to fourth place.
Day 7
Group А
All matches in Group A ended in draws today. Team Spirit, Gaimin Gladiators, OG, and Team Falcons hold a 7–5 map record. Aurora Gaming finished the day at 6–6.
HEROIC and LGD Gaming are placed 6th–7th, while Blacklist International still have the highest chance of elimination.
Group B
Tundra Esports show no intention of giving up the top spot in Group B. Entity, Xtreme Gaming, and Team Liquid all have strong chances to advance.
Beastcoast are currently in seventh place, while MOUZ are very unlikely to catch up with anyone.
Day 8
Group А
In Group A, Team Falcons, Team Spirit, Gaimin Gladiators, and OG advanced to the upper bracket of the playoffs. Aurora Gaming and LGD Gaming dropped to the lower bracket.
Meanwhile, HEROIC and Blacklist International failed to advance from the group and were eliminated from the tournament.
Group B
In this group, Tundra Esports, Entity, Team Liquid, and WBG.XG advanced to the upper bracket. PSG Quest and BetBoom Team dropped to the lower bracket.
beastcoast and MOUZ have been eliminated from the tournament.
Day 9

Team Falcons, Tundra Esports, Gaimin Gladiators, and Team Liquid advanced to the upper-bracket semifinals. Falcons will face GG, while Tundra will take on Liquid.
Xtreme Gaming, OG, Entity, and Team Spirit dropped to the lower bracket, where they will meet Aurora Gaming, LGD Gaming, PSG Quest, and BetBoom Team.

The upper-bracket finalists have been determined - Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid. OG failed to overcome PSG Quest in the lower bracket and have been eliminated from the tournament.
Day 12
The fourth day of the playoff stage at Riyadh Masters 2024 has come to an end. It’s time to sum up the results.
Today, lower-bracket matches took place, with Team Spirit, Xtreme Gaming, and BetBoom Team eliminated from the tournament. Tundra Esports advanced to the semifinals, where they will await the winner of the Team Falcons vs PSG Quest matchup.
Meanwhile, in the upper bracket, Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid are still waiting for their moment, as the teams will fight for a spot in the grand final on July 20.
Day 13
