FISSURE Universe: Episode 3 – Format, schedule, results and tournament bracket
FISSURE Universe: Episode 3 was an online Dota 2 championship held from 18.08.2024 to 25.08.2024. 14 teams competed for a prize pool of $150,000.
The tournament began with a double-elimination group stage featuring 6 teams. Two teams advanced from this stage, while the others were eliminated. In the second stage, the winners of the first round faced 8 invited teams, divided into 2 groups. Only 4 teams advanced to the playoffs from this stage, while the rest were eliminated.
Group stage and playoff matches were played in a Bo3 format, and the grand final was Bo5. The tournament bracket followed a double-elimination system.
Final day results (25.08.2024):
On the final day of the playoffs, two matches took place: the lower bracket final and the grand final.
In the lower bracket final, Team Falcons faced Tundra Esports. The winner of the series earned a spot in the grand final. The teams had previously met in the first round of the playoffs, where Falcons won 2:1, and this time history repeated itself: after three maps, Falcons once again defeated Tundra and advanced to face Team Spirit for the championship title.
Despite losing the upper bracket final 0:2, Falcons came fully prepared this time and convincingly beat the "Dragons" 3:0, becoming the tournament champions.
Notably, the first map of the series lasted over 70 minutes, with Falcons achieving a 46,000 gold lead. However, the second map ended in just 24 minutes.

G2.IG defeated 1Win 2:0 in the upper bracket and advanced to the group stage. Aurora Gaming and Team Waska were eliminated, while Nouns and PSG Quest will face each other tomorrow in the lower bracket final.

In Group A, Nouns defeated Gaimin Gladiators and advanced to the upper bracket final. Tundra Esports also overcame BetBoom Team to become the other finalist. Gaimin Gladiators and BetBoom Team will continue their journey in the lower bracket.

In this group, Team Falcons and Team Spirit became the finalists, while Cloud9 and G2.Invictus Gaming dropped to the lower bracket.

From Group A, Gaimin Gladiators were eliminated today, while Tundra Esports advanced to the next stage of the tournament.

The leader of Group B was Team Spirit, which has already secured a spot in the event’s playoffs. The outsider today was G2.iG, eliminated from the tournament after losing to Cloud9.
Day 6
The first day of the playoff stage at FISSURE Universe Ep.3 has concluded. Here are today’s results:
Nouns, Cloud9, and BetBoom Team have been eliminated from the tournament. By the end of the day, Team Spirit advanced to the grand final, while Tundra Esports and Team Falcons will continue their journey in the lower bracket of the playoffs.
