Without Malr1ne: Team Liquid unveils updated roster for BLAST Slam VIII

Despite rumors about a possible move for Stanislav Malr1ne Potorak, Zheng MidOne Yeik Nai has appeared on the Team Liquid roster for BLAST Slam VIII. The updated roster was revealed by the tournament organizers alongside the lineups of the other participants.

The Malaysian player will replace Michal Nisha Jankowski, who will miss the tournament. There were earlier reports that the Polish midlaner could take a break from the professional scene, but the organization has not yet revealed the reason for his absence.

Before that, MidOne represented MOUZ, which he joined in September 2025. Together with the team, the Malaysian became the champion of PGL Wallachia Season 6, and in 2026 he competed at several tier-1 tournaments, including Esports World Cup 2026. However, the team failed to qualify for The International 2026.

Over the past year, the midlaner played 266 maps on the professional scene and won 55% of them. On average, he recorded a KDA of 6.95, with a GPM of 591 and an XPM of 722. Yeik Nai most frequently played Leshrac, with 45 maps, followed by Nature's Prophet with 25 and Storm Spirit with 22.

One of the previous changes to the Team Liquid roster was the signing of Adrian Wisper Dobles as the team's offlaner. Unlike MidOne, who will serve as a stand-in at the upcoming tournament, the Bolivian joined the main roster on a permanent basis.

BLAST Slam VIII will take place from 29.09.2026 to 11.10.2026. The group stage will be played online, while the playoffs will take place in Malta. 16 teams will compete for a $750,000 prize pool. You can follow the tournament in our report.
