FISSURE Universe Ep.4: Format, schedule, results, and tournament bracket
FISSURE Universe Ep.4 — an online Dota 2 tournament that takes place from 22.03.2025 to 30.03.2025. The event features 16 of the best teams from around the world competing for a prize pool of $500,000.
The tournament began with a group stage played in a modified Swiss format. Based on the results of this stage, the top 8 teams advanced to the playoffs, while the rest were eliminated.
All matches in FISSURE Universe Ep.4 plays in a Best-of-3 format, with the exception of the grand final, which will be played in a BO5 format.
Results of the ninth and final matchday (30.03)
In the lower bracket final of the playoffs, Gaimin Gladiators managed to defeat the Chinese team Tidebound 2:1, earning a spot against BetBoom Team. However, the grand final turned out to be quick and one-sided for BetBoom Team, as they crushed Gaimin Gladiators with a 3:0 victory. Thus, BetBoom Team became the champions of FISSURE Universe Ep.4.
Results of previous game days:
Day 1
Team Liquid, Tidebound, Gaimin Gladiators, Team Spirit, BOOM Esports, Night Pulse, and Team Falcons remain undefeated, winning their series 2:0, while Tundra Esports defeated Talon Esports 2:1.
BOOM Esports, playing with two stand-ins, delivered a pleasant surprise by confidently defeating BetBoom Team. Meanwhile, Aurora Gaming, which played with a substitute carry, completely collapsed in their series against Team Spirit. Many also expect a strong performance from PARIVISION, as they took a break after PGL Wallachia: Season 3 to give their players more time to rest, but today the team fell to Night Pulse with a 0:2 score.
Day 2
Team Liquid and Team Spirit continue to perform undefeated, finishing their series with a 2-0 score. Aurora Gaming also played today with a replacement due to the illness of Egor Nightfall Grigorenko, but they managed to defeat 1WIN Team 2-1. The PARIVISION team won against their opponent today and earned their first points, while teams like 1WIN Team and One Move continue their performance in the tournament without victories and will face each other tomorrow.
Day 3
Team Spirit advanced to the tournament playoffs without losing a single map in the group stage. Tundra Esports also secured a place in the main stage of the championship. M80 and One Move were the first to leave the competition. Tomorrow three more teams will secure a place in the playoffs and finish their performance at FISSURE Universe.
Day 4
Three more teams went to the playoffs. PARIVISION, Tidebound and Team Liquid secured a place in the main stage. Wildcard. Talon Esports and Night Pulse finished their appearance at the tournament. Tomorrow the last three playoff slots will be played, after which all participants of the final stage will be determined.
Day 5
The last slots in the playoffs went to Team Falcons, Gaimin Gladiators and BetBoom Team. BOOM Esports, 1WIN Team and Aurora Gaming could not advance beyond the group stage and finished their performance at the tournament. Tomorrow the quarterfinal matches of the playoffs upper bracket will be held.
Day 6
Tidebound advanced to the playoffs upper bracket semifinals, where they will face BetBoom Team, which today outplayed Team Spirit. Team Falcons and Gaimin Gladiators also secured a place in the top-6, as they eliminated Tundra Esports and Team Liquid to the lower bracket. Tomorrow the upper bracket finalists will be determined and two more teams will leave the competition.
Day 7
BetBoom Team and Gaimin Gladiators are the upper bracket finalists and will battle tomorrow to advance to the grand finals. PARIVISION and Team Liquid left the competition today, Team Spirit and Tundra Esports, which eliminated them, will face Team Falcons and Tidebound in lower bracket round 2.
Day 8
Team Spirit and Tundra Esports lost their matches and were eliminated from the tournament. Team Falcons defeated Spirit but fell to the Chinese team Tidebound 0-2 in the lower bracket semifinals and also exited the competition. BetBoom Team claimed a hard-fought victory over Gaimin Gladiators and now await their opponent in the grand final. Meanwhile, Gladiators will face Tidebound in the lower bracket final, with the winner advancing to face BetBoom Team for the championship title.
As Cyberscore reported earlier, BOOM Esports has revealed its stand-ins for participation in FISSURE Universe Ep.4. Tundra Esports is also playing with a new carry, while Gaimin Gladiators parted ways with Seleri just before the tournament.
