The final matchday of DreamLeague Season 29 has concluded, and we are summing up its results.

In the lower bracket final, Aurora Gaming defeated Team Spirit 2:0 and advanced to the decisive series of the tournament. It is worth noting that the roster finished the first map in just 29 minutes, while the second victory required 66 minutes.

In the grand final, PARIVISION proved stronger than Aurora, closing the series 3:2 and becoming the tournament champions.

The team picked Edgar 9Class Naltakyan’s signature Io twice whenever the opponent did not ban the hero, which allowed them to execute their strategies successfully.

Throughout the entire championship, the roster lost only one series, against Team Falcons during the group stage. At the same time, PVISION competed with Evgeny Noticed Ignatenko, who played as a substitute instead of Valeriy TripleSSS Lazarev.

This became the roster’s second consecutive tournament victory. The previous championship, 1Win Essence I, was completed without a single loss.

Day 1

Group A

On the first day, Team Spirit and Team Falcons delivered strong performances and secured the top spots in their group.

It is worth noting that the “dragons” defeated Team Liquid by a score of 2:1, showing championship-level teamwork despite making a stand-in change right before the tournament.

At the same time, Falcons played a 106 minute map in their series against Virtus.pro and still managed to win. The last time a match lasted this long was at The Bali Major 2023, where a map exceeded 136 minutes.

The worst start of the day belonged to Aurora Gaming and GamerLegion, as both teams lost both of their series.

The first team at serious risk of failing to advance to the next stage is GamerLegion. The squad lost all of its matches and failed to win a single map. Despite this, the team still has two series left to play, which could increase their prize earnings.

Group B

The second group ended the day with unexpected results. Rekonix managed to defeat Tundra Esports 2:0, keeping their playoff hopes alive. For Tundra, this could become the third tournament in a row where the team delivers very weak results.

Nigma Galaxy demonstrated excellent preparation against the Chinese team Xtreme Gaming and managed to defeat their opponent with a clean score. On both maps, Nigma banned Tinker, Storm Spirit, Hoodwink, and Drow Ranger. At the same time, the team managed to secure Lone Druid and Pangolier, heroes that are usually banned by almost every team.

Group A

Group A featured a clash between the two leaders — Team Falcons and Team Spirit. The match ended with a 2:1 victory for the Falcons.

On the third map, the “dragons” picked Tinker for Denis Larl Sigitov, marking his first tier-1 match on the hero. Analysts noted that the experimental hero choice became one of the main reasons for the defeat. The midlaner finished the game with a 5/4/5 score.

Team Liquid and Aurora Gaming also won their matches, but while Spirit, Falcons and Liquid have already secured their places in the upper bracket, Aurora still need to defeat Virtus.pro tomorrow to guarantee a better playoff seed.

Despite today’s victory, GamerLegion and ex-Heroic remain in a very unstable position. The teams must also win their final group stage series and hope for losses from VP and Vici Gaming.

Group B

Natus Vincere have already secured an upper bracket spot from Group B after defeating Tundra Esports and PlayTime today, showing excellent preparation for the tournament.

PARIVISION also secured their place among the top teams in the group despite today’s loss to PlayTime.

BetBoom Team and Xtreme Gaming still have strong chances of reaching the playoffs, but another victory is needed to qualify for the upper bracket.

Group A

Team Falcons became the absolute leaders of the group after winning all seven series. Alongside them, Team Spirit advanced to the upper bracket, with their only loss coming against the Falcons.

It is worth noting that Spirit are playing this tournament with their new support player Aleksei not me Kosmynin, and many viewers have already praised his strong individual performance.

Team Liquid and Aurora Gaming also secured victories today and qualified for the upper bracket, while Virtus.pro and Vici Gaming will begin the playoffs from the lower bracket.

GamerLegion and ex-Heroic finished the group stage with only one win and were eliminated from the tournament.

Nigma Galaxy and Rekonix delivered the weakest performances and became two of the first teams eliminated from the tournament.

It is worth noting that Huskar appeared in six matches during the group stage, and every single game ended in victory.

PARIVISION picked the hero three times: twice for the mid lane and once for support player Edgar 9Class Naltakyan in the match against NaVi. By the second minute of the game, the player had already moved to the jungle and became a full-fledged core, which helped the team secure the victory.

However, today the Chinese team managed to eliminate one of the main favorites. For Liquid, this result was their worst of the year.

Day 9

Natus Vincere failed to defeat PlayTime in a crucial series. A victory would have secured the team a spot at EWC 2026. Now, the team can only hope that the Peruvian squad loses to BetBoom Team in the next round.

Team Falcons, which had not lost a single series in the tournament until today, was unable to defeat PARIVISION. Meanwhile, Team Spirit, which lost only to Falcons in the group stage, remains undefeated in the playoffs and secured a spot in the upper bracket final by eliminating Aurora Gaming to the lower bracket.

Day 10

The tenth day of DreamLeague Season 29 has come to an end, and it’s time to summarize the results.

Tundra Esports defeated Xtreme Gaming in an extremely long series, but couldn’t get past Aurora Gaming and exited the tournament, finishing in 5th–6th place.

Meanwhile, PlayTime continues to impress and today defeated BetBoom Team, securing a spot at EWC 2026. In the next round, the Peruvians will face Team Falcons, while Aurora will play the winner of that match.

Day 11

The penultimate matchday of DreamLeague Season 29 has concluded, and the tournament is nearing its end.

In the upper bracket, PARIVISION defeated Team Spirit 2:1 and advanced to the grand final. Despite a crushing loss on the first map, the team managed to recover and win two maps in a row.

In the lower bracket, Team Falcons proved stronger than PlayTime, but later lost to Aurora Gaming 0:2 and were eliminated from the tournament.

According to analysts, PlayTime relaxed after securing an invite to Esports World Cup 2026 and did not prepare well enough for their opponent. However, every map of the series lasted longer than 65 minutes.

Tomorrow will be the final matchday, after which we will find out who becomes the tournament champion.

Group distribution — favorites and underdogs:

Group A

The clear favorites in this group are Team Liquid, Team Falcons, and Aurora Gaming. All three teams finished in the top 4 at the recent PGL Wallachia Season 8.

Team Spirit are considered one of the most unpredictable participants, as frequent roster changes have heavily affected the team’s results, and the squad has looked very unstable since the beginning of 2026.

There are also rumors that the team’s new support player could be Alim aik Bespayev, who may replace Nikita Pantomem Balaganin. However, neither the organization nor the players have commented on this information yet.

Since teams need to finish between first and sixth place to qualify for the playoffs, Vici Gaming also have a strong chance of advancing. Recently, the Chinese squad won ESL Challenger CN Season 3 Powered by ACL and secured a slot at Esports World Cup 2026.

It is also worth highlighting the former HEROIC roster, whose players decided to stay together after the organization left Dota 2. At every major tournament this year, the team consistently finished in the top 6, but will compete with a stand-in at DreamLeague.

Group B

From Group B, the most likely teams to advance to the upper playoff bracket are BetBoom Team as the champions of the recent PGL Wallachia Season 8, PARIVISION, who consistently finish in the top 6 of almost every tournament, and Tundra Esports, the champions of DreamLeague Season 28.

The remaining teams are no less competitive, and the battle for the remaining spots in the next stage will most likely unfold between Nigma Galaxy, Xtreme Gaming, Natus Vincere and PlayTime. Each of these teams has shown decent, though inconsistent, results lately.

The toughest challenge will likely be for Rekonix, who advanced through their regional closed qualifier but have yet to reach the playoffs of a Tier-1 tournament.

Tournament Format:

DreamLeague Season 29 was an online Dota 2 championship that took place from 13.05.2026 to 24.05.2026. Sixteen teams competed for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 28,300 EPT points. This tournament became the final opportunity for teams to secure a direct invitation to Esports World Cup 2026.

The group stage was played in a Round Robin format with Bo2 matches. The top four teams from each group advanced to the upper bracket of the playoffs. Teams that finished in 5th-6th place moved to the lower bracket, while the remaining participants were eliminated from the tournament.

The playoff bracket used a Double Elimination format with Bo3 matches, except for the grand final, which was played as a Bo5 series.
