FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2: the schedule of the first matches has been revealed
The FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 championship will begin with a group stage using a modified Swiss system. All teams will play best-of-three series, and to qualify for the playoffs, a team must secure three wins in five matches. The decisive stage of the event will feature a double-elimination format with eight of the strongest teams. The grand final will be played as a best-of-five, while all other matches will follow the best-of-three format.
The Swiss system is structured so that teams compete against opponents with similar results. After each round, teams with the same number of wins and losses continue to face each other. This format not only helps determine the strongest participants but also reduces the chance of elimination after one or two unsuccessful matches.
It’s worth noting that PARIVISION is also participating in the tournament, having skipped the previous BLAST SLAM IV to give players time to rest. In addition, the Chinese team Vici Gaming makes its return to the scene, unveiling a new roster after leaving the Dota 2 discipline in 2023.
The tournament will also mark the debut of the South American team Team Cobra (formerly known as Perrito Panzon), led by Héctor K1 Antonio Rodríguez. The team qualified through their regional closed qualifiers, defeating Tailung Mafia 3–1 in the grand final.
FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 will take place from 23.10.2025 to 02.11.2025 in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. The total prize pool of the event is $1,000,000, to be contested by 16 teams.
