Team Spirit wins The International 2023
Team Spirit defeated Gaimin Gladiators in the Grand Final of The International 2023 and became the champions of the main Dota 2 tournament! Spirit won all three maps, using their opponents' mistakes and showing great team play.
Before the tournament even started, Team Spirit were one of the fan favorites, and more than deservedly so. TS showed incredible play at the tournament, making it to the top of the group stage and giving up only two maps during the entire TI. This secured their place in the Grand Final.
Berlin Major 2023 and Bali Major 2023 champions Gaimin Gladiators started their journey to TI 12 in the bottom bracket of the playoffs. But the Gladiators lineup was one of the top favorites before the tournament even started, and they were able to confirm their status: Gaimin Gladiators made their way to the grand finals by defeating LGD Gaming in the lower bracket final.

The International 2023 was held in three stages from October 12 to October 30 in the American city of Seattle. The tournament was attended by 20 teams from all over the world. Players showed an incredibly beautiful, exciting game.
The group stage ended on October 16. According to its results 16 best teams were selected to participate in the playoffs. Team SMG, Thunder Awaken, beastcoast and PSG Quest had to leave the tournament.
