History

Quest Esports (formerly known as Ooredoo Thunders) is an esports organization from Qatar that includes a Dota 2 roster alongside a tournament system for various disciplines and the Ooredoo Nation project for the development of regional esports.

The first roster for the popular MOBA game was announced by Quest Esports at the beginning of 2022. It consisted of a carry player from SLAWEE and four players from Lebanon, including OmaR from No!ob. The team actively participated in tournaments like the D2CL series: for example, they achieved 4th place and earned their first prize money at Dota 2 Champions League Season 10.

However, Quest Esports did not participate in the Dota Pro Circuit events at that time. In May, the team managed to qualify for the final leg of the 2021/22 season but fell short in the closed qualifiers, finishing below 11Monkeyz and Team Bald Reborn.

During the summer, the roster continued to compete in online tournaments as a Lebanese team. However, in the fall, Quest Esports management made significant changes. Only OmaR and No!ob remained in the roster, and they were joined by three players from the CIS region - TA2000, kaori, and meLes. This change paid off, as Quest Esports immediately secured second place in the European Pro League Season 3, and then became the champions in the following season, earning their first Dota 2 trophy for the club.

Before the start of the new DPC season, meLes moved to Ancient Tribe, and was replaced by a talent from Turkey - Faruk Wuiter Terchi. Additionally, the club hired a Russian coach, Alexander Accell Litvinenko. However, these changes did not prevent Quest Esports from qualifying for the second division of the Dota Pro Circuit for Western Europe teams and, in January 2023, winning the European Pro League once again.

In February, the Arab club also emerged victorious in DPC WEU 2023 Tour 1: Division II, their debut in the DPC, and advanced to the first division.

Overall, the team had a great season. Among the achievements of Quest Esports - first place at the European Pro League Season 8, fourth place at The Bali Major 2023. In addition, the team took first place at the qualifiers for the Riyadh Masters 2023, and at the tournament the team took 7th-8th place.

In August, the team underwent a reshuffle with the signing of new Offlaner Tobias Tobi  Buschner, who had previously played for Entity.

In October 2023 the organization signed a partnership with French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain. Because of that the team was renamed PSG Quest, and played at The International 2023 with a new tag.

The team's luck ran out at DreamLeague Season 21, where the team took the last place, not reaching the main part of the tournament, falling out at the group stage without winning a single match. The same situation happened at The International 2023: the team took 17th-20th place, leaving the tournament after the group stage without winning a single match.

At the end of October Tobi left the roster, and Abdimalik Malik Silau from Natus Vincere took his place. This team tried to qualify for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023. The club successfully passed the open qualification, but at the closed qualifiers took the second place, and did not get to the tournament.
