History

beastcoast is a North American eSports organization currently based in South America.

beastcoast 's journey in competitive dota started with the signing of Team Team, whose members were Ryoya, brax, ixmike88, EternaLEnVy and tmt. The team played at the MDL Disneyland® Paris Major, but only finished 13-16th, and after failing to qualify for EPICENTER Major 2019 and StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2, the team started to change: tmt and EternaLEnVy decided to leave, and Mandy and MoOz took their places.

The renewed squad finished 3rd at the local qualifications of The International 2019, after which it could only take 5th place at DOTA Summit 10, thus earning $8.1k. beastcoast was deprived of all players during the week, who scattered to different teams and stacks, but in early October the organization approved a new roster in the person of Anvorguesa. The young South Americans established themselves as a strong and incredibly friendly team, which is confirmed to this day.

The first achievement of the second time renewed beastcoast was qualifying for the MDL Chengdu Major and the final 7-8th place at the tournament itself. At ESL One Hamburg 2019 it took the 4th place, and the total of these 2 tournaments brought the players $60 thousand. Then the guys won a slot at DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major, taking the "silver" of qualifications. At this event they defeated Nigma and got the 7th-8th place, earning another $40k.

With the beginning of the global quarantine the first difficulties started, as it was almost impossible to play from South America on North American servers due to high ping. This led to 5th place at ESL One Birmingham 2020 Online and 5-6 at OGA Dota PIT S2: Americas and The Great American Rivalry Division 1 Season 1. However, at the local ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online for South America and Realms Collide beastcoast won.

The team was not very active in 2021, participating in only four tournaments. At WePlay AniMajor , the squad placed 14th, finishing the tournament without making it out of the group stage, at ESL One Fall 2021 Beastcoast placed 5-6, and at The International 2021 they placed 13-16.

In 2022, Beastcoast participated in ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 and PGL Arlington Major 2022, at both tournaments the team placed 5-6. At The International this year, Beastcoast performed better than ever, placing 7th-8th and earning $473,000 from the prize pool. In November 2023, there were changes in the roster of the team: Chris Luck and Wisper left, and DarkMago and Sacred took their place.

The year 2023 began for Beastcoast with a victory at DPC SA 2023 Tour 1: Division I , for which the team received an invitation to Lima Major 2023, where they took 9-12th place. The squad also participated in DreamLeague Season 19, ESL One Berlin Major 2023 and DreamLeague Season 20, but at none of these tournaments did the club make it out of the group stage. Beastcoast had a slightly more positive result at BetBoom Dacha 2023, where the squad took 4th place. The decisive tournament for the squad was The International 2023, where the team took 17th-20th place, again without leaving the group. Shortly after that, the Beastcoast roster was disbanded.

In January 2024, the organization announced that they had assembled a new roster. It included: payk, Lumpy, Vitaly, MoOz and Gardick. The debut for the roster was the closed qualification for ESL One Birmingham 2024, where the team took the 3rd place, but did not make it to the main part of the tournament.
