Lumpy began making a noticeable appearance in the competitive arena in late 2021 with Vicious Gaming, attempting to make it to the inaugural season of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022. In June 2022, he joined Lava Esports, where he managed to reach the top-3 at LATAM Rookie Challenge 1 and Claro Gaming Apu League S5. In December, the team qualified for the DPC SA 2023 Tour 1: Division II, finishing in fifth place. Lumpy and his team then won the TodayPay Invitational S4 and were finalists in the EPL World Series: America S4. In April, they placed third in the DPC Season II, and in June they participated in the 1XPLORE LATAM #4, where they finished in the top four. In August 2023, the squad participated in qualifying for The International 2023, but finished 7th-8th there and did not qualify for the main tournament of the year.

In the fall of 2023, Lumpy joined Infinity Esports. Together with Infinity Esports he became EPL World Series: America champion twice and almost qualified for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, finishing in 2nd place.

In January 2024, Luis qualified for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 and DreamLeague Season 22 with the Bulls. The club failed to qualify for either tournament, with their most successful performance being a 5th-6th place finish in the closed qualification for the Dubai tournament.

In January 2024, Lumpy joined Beastcoast. Together with them he participated in the closed qualification for ESL One Birmingham 2024, where he took 3rd place and failed to qualify for the tournament.

After this, the team participated in several qualifiers for major tournaments and won at EPL WS: America S10 and RES Regional Series: LATAM #2. In June, Beastcoast successfully qualified for Riyadh Masters 2024, where they finished in 14th place.

At the end of July, the team competed in Elite League Season 2 but was eliminated in the first round of the lower bracket playoffs, finishing in 8th place. In August, the roster failed to qualify for PGL Wallachia Season 2.
