FISSURE PLAYGROUND: format, schedule, results, and tournament bracket
FISSURE PLAYGROUND was an online Dota 2 championship held from 24.01.2025 to 02.02.2025. 16 teams competed for a prize pool of $1,000,000.
The group stage was held in 2 phases using a modified Swiss system. In the group stage, the 8 weakest teams were eliminated. The remaining teams advanced to the playoff stage, where a losing team dropped to the lower bracket.
Matches of rounds 1 and 2 of the group stage were played in BO1 format, rounds 3 to 5 in BO3 format. Playoff matches were BO3, and the grand final was played in BO5 format.
Results of the ninth match day (02.02.2025)
Team Falcons defeated PARIVISION in the lower bracket final of the playoffs with a score of 2:0, earning a slot in the grand final, where they lost to Tundra Esports 2:3. Tundra became the tournament champions.
It is worth noting that 5 out of 7 matches of Team Falcons lasted more than 45 minutes. Despite their tough fight, the long game day and extended matches took a toll, while Tundra appeared fresher and better prepared.
Special attention goes to the tournament champions’ carry, Anton dyrachyo Shkredov, who shows active play on any hero. On the fifth and final map, he played Morphling, a late-game hero, yet actively participated in all fights.
The phenomenal performance of midlaner Bozhidar bzm Bogdanov on Invoker should also be highlighted, as he is considered one of the best performers on this hero on the pro scene.

Falcons managed to rectify the situation by defeating AVULUS, while Xtreme lost in the second round to Gaimin Gladiators and are now close to being eliminated from the tournament. BetBoom Team, Team Liquid, Heroic and Team Spirit advanced to the 3rd round of the group stage without losing a single map.

HEROIC broke Team Spirit's win streak of 9 series and 15 maps and secured a slot in the playoffs. BetBoom Team advanced to the main stage of the championship by confidently defeating Team Liquid. Chimera Esports left the tournament, losing to Xtreme Gaming, and AVULUS eliminated Shopify Rebellion.

In the 1-2 bracket, Wildcard, Yakult's brothers and Aurora Gaming concluded their journey in the championship after losing to Tundra Esports, AVULUS, and Xtreme Gaming, who have also advanced to the fifth round of the group stage.

Today, three matches were played, and as a result, PARIVISION became the first team to reach the lower bracket semifinals. PARIVISION defeated BetBoom Team and Heroic, both of which were eliminated from the tournament. Team Liquid also couldn’t handle Talon Esports and was eleminated from the championship.
Talon Esports will face Team Spirit in the second round of the lower bracket, and the winner of that match will compete against PARIVISION for a spot in the finals on February 1.

Two matches took place in the lower bracket. Team Spirit managed to beat Talon Esports, but then fell to PARIVISION with a 0-2 score. This marked a legendary matchup — Alan Sаtanic Galiamov not only defeated Ilya Yatoro Mulyarchuk for the first time but also eliminated his team from the tournament.
