Team Falcons will replace Team Yandex in DreamLeague Season 29: the list of invited teams has been released
Tournament organizer ESL announced the invited teams for DreamLeague Season 29 on its X page. Originally, the list was supposed to include the six teams that had earned the most EPT points this season, but Team Falcons took Team Yandex’s spot for an undisclosed reason.
The remaining invites, as planned, went to the leaders of the ESL Pro Tour Season 2025/2026 standings: Tundra Esports, Xtreme Gaming, Aurora Gaming, PARIVISION, and Team Spirit.

As a reminder, Falcons did not participate in the qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 29. It is likely that the organization already knew at that time that the team would receive Yandex’s slot. Presumably, TY will skip the competition to give the players a chance to rest before BLAST SLAM VII. The team is not interested in the EPT points up for grabs at DreamLeague, as it has already secured a spot at the Esports World Cup 2026.
Additionally (though this is unlikely), Team Yandex could lose its spot in the championship by replacing three or more players on the roster, which would lead to the cancellation of its EPT points. TY midlaner Ilya CHIRA_JUNIOR Chirtsov confirmed on his Telegram channel that the team’s next tournament will be BLAST SLAM VII, but did not specify the reason for withdrawing from DreamLeague Season 29. Representatives of Falcons and Yandex also did not disclose details regarding the replacement.
DreamLeague Season 29 will take place from 13.05.2026 to 24.05.2026 in an online format, with 16 teams competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000 and 28,300 EPT points.
