Tundra Esports and Tidebound finish their run at The International 2025
Tundra Esports and Tidebound became the first teams to leave the Playoff stage of The International 2025. Both squads lost in the opening round of the lower bracket and ended their run at the tournament, finishing in 7th and 8th place respectively.
Tundra Esports - Heroic
In the first lower bracket match, Tundra Esports lost to Heroic 0:2 and exited the tournament, while the South American squad advances to face the loser of the Team Falcons vs. BetBoom Team series.
In a post-match interview, Neta 33 Shapira expressed gratitude to Tobias Tobi Buchner for his support due to a visa issue affecting the main player, Matthew Whitemon Filmon.
João 4nalog Gabrielli Giannini also gave an interview, thanking fans for their support and sharing the team’s joy at reaching the top-6 of the tournament.
We are very happy to be here - it has been a dream for each of us. We love everyone who supports us, both in the arena and at home. We strive to get better. Our coaches trust us, and the players believe in each other. Once again, thank you all.
It is worth noting that Heroic had already defeated Tundra in the group stage with a score of 2:0. Before The International 2025, Tundra had a streak of six wins in head-to-head matches against the South American team.

Tidebound - Nigma Galaxy
In the second match, Tidebound faced Nigma Galaxy and also lost 0:2. The Chinese squad failed to replicate the success of the group stage, where they finished with a 4-1 record, defeating Team Liquid, PARIVISION, and Team Falcons.
In the Playoffs, the team first fell to Falcons and then was eliminated after losing to Nigma. One of the key factors of the series was Nigma Galaxy’s unusual draft: Muerta was picked twice for Sumail SumaiL Hassan in the mid lane, a hero that had not appeared earlier, while Danil Ghost Chan confidently showcased his Medusa, becoming the MVP of each map in the series. The strong hero choices of the MESWA squad largely determined the outcome of the matches.
