All roster shuffles after The International 2026: confirmed transfers

The International 2026 ended with Team Spirit's victory, and traditionally, the most exciting period for the esports scene has begun — the roster shuffle season. Players are switching teams, organizations are exploring new options for their future, while insiders are fueling interest with leaks.

This year’s transfer window promises to be particularly eventful, as changes will affect even the roster of Team Falcons, which has remained unchanged for several years, as well as other Tier 1 teams. In addition, Topias Topson Taavitsainen announced his intention to return to the pro scene.

Vici Gaming

Clubs from the Asian region were the first to officially announce major changes.

Just an hour after the team was eliminated from The International 2026, representatives of Vici Gaming announced the disbandment. 

As a reminder, last season Xm and XinQ represented XG alongside Ame, Xxs and xNova, and the team finished as runner-up at The International 2025. However, it seems that fully reuniting the previous roster will not be possible, as Ame, is likely planning to retire.

Team Nemesis and GLYPH

Team Nemesis, which disbanded its previous roster back in July, introduced its new roster on August 13. The club decided to build the team around Anucha Jabz Jirawong. He was joined by three former players and coach GLYPH, as well as Argle Ken Ken K. Liesis, who previously played for Execration, Neon Esports, and Ivory Team.

REKONIX

On August 19, REKONIX announced the disbandment of the roster that had previously qualified for the Esports World Cup 2026 but failed to qualify for The International 2026. Representatives of the organization noted that they may not form a roster for the new season.

Virtus.pro

Offlaner Jonas SabeRLight- Volek announced on his X account that his time with Virtus.pro had come to an end. The player promised to reveal more details later, but some time afterward deleted the post without explaining the reason.

Shortly thereafter, the organization announced the disbandment due to unsatisfactory results. VP noted that they are not leaving the discipline and will work on forming a new roster.

The roster's last major tournament was Esports World Cup 2026, where the team finished in 13th-16th place. The team also failed to qualify for The International 2026 after losing to Hulligani in the European closed qualifier.

Yangon Galacticos

Yangon Galacticos replaced their third-position player. ArKar Moe Mo mo Myint Hein became the team’s new offlaner. However, Zawrain ZawRain Sai Aung did not leave the team but moved to the fifth position. Kaung Ksh Sett Hein and Thiha Skill Lay Kyaw Swar returned to YG as carry and support, respectively, while Min Young PH Khant Maung remains the mid laner.

Carstensz

In Southeast Asia, Carstensz lost three players and its coach: Salamat salamat1 Sadyr Adilzhanuly, Munkhjin seimei Batsaikhan, Batbayasgalan ace12 Narankhand, and coach Illyas Steelborco Kaukenov. The organization thanked all members of the roster and wished them the best of luck.

The team regularly competes in regional tournaments and won EPL WS: Southeast Asia. S16 in late June. However, shortly after the victory, several players were moved to the bench. Although they remained part of the organization, they no longer competed for the team.

With its updated roster, Carstensz attempted to qualify for The International 2026 and Esports World Cup 2026, but the team failed to make it through the qualifiers for either tournament.

LGD Gaming

LGD Gaming Dota 2 roster manager Barbara babibornia Borgnia announced on social media that her contract and the players' contracts had expired, after which the roster members became free agents.

The team's final tournament was TI15, where the roster failed to reach the playoffs and finished in 9th-12th place.

One possible reason why the organization decided not to renew the players' contracts could be the recent incident involving the lifetime ban and suspension of one of its players, Santiago TaiLung Olivos Aguero, over suspicions of involvement in match-fixing. As a result, LGD Gaming had to compete at the tournament with a stand-in, and the team failed to achieve the expected result.

There are also rumors within the community that Adrian Wisper Cespedes Dobles could continue his career with a European team, although it is currently unclear which team he could join.
