All roster shuffles after The International 2026: confirmed transfers

The International 2026 ended with Team Spirit's victory, and traditionally, the most exciting period for the esports scene has begun — the roster shuffle season. Players are switching teams, organizations are exploring new options for their future, while insiders are fueling interest with leaks.

This year’s transfer window promises to be particularly eventful, as changes will affect even the roster of Team Falcons, which has remained unchanged for several years, as well as other Tier 1 teams. In addition, Topias Topson Taavitsainen announced his intention to return to the pro scene.

Vici Gaming

Clubs from the Asian region were the first to officially announce major changes.

Just an hour after the team was eliminated from The International 2026, representatives of Vici Gaming announced the disbandment. 

As a reminder, last season Xm and XinQ represented XG alongside Ame, Xxs and xNova, and the team finished as runner-up at The International 2025. However, it seems that fully reuniting the previous roster will not be possible, as Ame, is likely planning to retire.

Team Nemesis and GLYPH

Team Nemesis, which disbanded its previous roster back in July, introduced its new roster on August 13. The club decided to build the team around Anucha Jabz Jirawong. He was joined by three former players and coach GLYPH, as well as Argle Ken Ken K. Liesis, who previously played for Execration, Neon Esports, and Ivory Team.

REKONIX

On August 19, REKONIX announced the disbandment of the roster that had previously qualified for the Esports World Cup 2026 but failed to qualify for The International 2026. Representatives of the organization noted that they may not form a roster for the new season.

Virtus.pro

Offlaner Jonas SabeRLight- Volek announced on his X account that his time with Virtus.pro had come to an end. The player promised to reveal more details later, but some time afterward deleted the post without explaining the reason.

Shortly thereafter, the organization announced the disbandment due to unsatisfactory results. VP noted that they are not leaving the discipline and will work on forming a new roster.

The roster's last major tournament was Esports World Cup 2026, where the team finished in 13th-16th place. The team also failed to qualify for The International 2026 after losing to Hulligani in the European closed qualifier.

Yangon Galacticos

Yangon Galacticos replaced their third-position player. ArKar Moe Mo mo Myint Hein became the team’s new offlaner. However, Zawrain ZawRain Sai Aung did not leave the team but moved to the fifth position. Kaung Ksh Sett Hein and Thiha Skill Lay Kyaw Swar returned to YG as carry and support, respectively, while Min Young PH Khant Maung remains the mid laner.

Carstensz

In Southeast Asia, Carstensz has undergone a major roster overhaul. Salamat salamat1 Sadyr, Munkhjin seimei Batsaikhan, Batbayasgalan ace12 Narankhand, and coach Illyas Steelborco Kaukenov have left the team. The organization thanked the former roster members and wished them the best.

Carstensz had previously competed regularly in regional tournaments and won EPL WS: Southeast Asia. S16 at the end of June. Shortly after the victory, several players were moved to the bench and no longer competed for the team.

The team later attempted to qualify for The International 2026 and Esports World Cup 2026, but failed to make it through either qualifier.

Shortly afterward, the club unveiled a new all-Indonesian roster. Among the team's new additions are Muhamad Azur4 Lutfi and Phang Leone Baby- Timotius Tonissen. The revamped roster will make its debut at EPL World Series: Southeast Asia Season 17.

LGD Gaming

LGD Gaming Dota 2 roster manager Barbara babibornia Borgnia announced on social media that her contract and the players' contracts had expired, after which the roster members became free agents.

The team's final tournament was TI15, where the roster failed to reach the playoffs and finished in 9th-12th place.

One possible reason why the organization decided not to renew the players' contracts could be the recent incident involving the lifetime ban and suspension of one of its players, Santiago TaiLung Olivos Aguero, over suspicions of involvement in match-fixing. As a result, LGD Gaming had to compete at the tournament with a stand-in, and the team failed to achieve the expected result.

There are also rumors within the community that Adrian Wisper Cespedes Dobles could continue his career with a European team, although it is currently unclear which team he could join.

Execration

Another Southeast Asian team, Execration, has announced that carry Eljohn Akashi Canonigo Andales has left the team. The organization shared the news on its official social media accounts.

Akashi had represented Execration since May 2026. Together with the team, he competed in the Southeast Asian closed qualifier for The International 2026, where the squad finished fourth and failed to secure a slot at the tournament.

The organization has yet to reveal its further roster plans or when a new carry will be announced.

MOUZ

The organization has registered an updated roster for the closed European qualifier for BLAST Slam VIII. Miroslav BOOM Bičan is the only player from the previous roster included in the lineup.

He will be joined by carry Mikhail DarkLord Blinov, Indian midlaner Nikhil Nyx Venkatraman, as well as supports Daniyal xsvampire Alibayev and Joel MoOz Ozambela.

At the moment, MOUZ has not officially announced the departure of any players or clarified whether the updated lineup will remain together after the qualifier.

Direborn

Esports organization Direborn has announced the signing of Indonesian carry Randy Muhammad Dreamocel Sapoetra. The player had already competed with the team but has now officially joined the roster.

For the 28-year-old carry, this is his first permanent team since leaving Carstensz Esports in July 2026. Dreamocel previously also represented BOOM Esports, ZeroTwo, SPAWN Team, and other teams.

The team's next appearance will be in the closed qualifiers for BLAST Slam VIII.

Team Resilience

Chinese team Team Resilience announced that Lin planet Hao has left the team, with He TK Boyi taking his place in the fourth position.

planet had played for Resilience since April 2026 and was part of the team's original roster. With him, the team finished second at ESL Challenger China Season 3 x ACL 2026 and qualified for The International 2026.

At the biggest tournament of the season, the team finished in 9th-13th place. In the decisive match for a spot in the playoffs, the team lost 1:2 to eventual champion Team Spirit.

It is worth noting that TK previously represented Yakult Brothers.Tearlaments, Team Bright, and Aster.Aries. He competed in several tournaments with YB in 2026 but was unable to achieve any significant results with the team.

The updated roster's first tournament will be the closed Chinese qualifier for BLAST Slam VIII. Eight teams will compete for one spot in the main stage of the tournament.

Xipto Esports

The esports organization Xipto Esports has signed its first Dota 2 roster, which includes well-known players from Southeast Asia. The announcement notes that the team is still looking for a coach.

It should be noted that for the qualifiers for BLAST SLAM IX, the team registered Daryl iceiceice Koh Pei Xiang as their third position player.

Ilbirs eSports

The esports organisation Ilbirs eSports has announced the disbandment of its squad and the suspension of its activities, as the team failed to achieve the desired results. Club representatives noted that they may not return to the discipline.

GamerLegion

Team carry Daniel Ghost Chan Kok Hong announced on his X account that he has left the team and is now looking for a new club.

I am no longer under contract with GamerLegion and am officially open to offers. Thank you to everyone for the time we spent together. I am looking forward to the next chapter and ready for new challenges.

Ghost joined GamerLegion at the end of March 2026 and spent around six months with the roster. During this time, the team competed at several major tournaments, including Esports World Cup 2026 and The International 2026. However, the team was unable to secure any high placements.

The next tournament for GL will be EPL Masters II, where the club has announced Enzo Timado Gianoli O'Connor as the replacement for Ghost.

OG

On 9 September, Timothy Tims Randrup, Marc Raven Fausto and Erin Yopaj Jasper Ferrer left the OG roster. Rumour has it that Topias Topson Taavitseinen, Valery SSS Lazarev and Ivan OneJey Zhivitsky may be joining the team.

1Win Team

The club posted a series of images featuring the team's players and coach on social media, showing documents designed to resemble contracts.

In doing so, the club hinted at keeping the entire roster, including coach David Tan Boon MoonMeander Yang, for the next competitive season.

The team's most recent tournament was The International 2026, where 1Win Team finished in 7-8 place. In the first round of the lower bracket, the team lost 1:2 to BetBoom Team and was eliminated from the tournament.

Team Cobra

David Parker Nicho Flores announced the roster that will compete at PGL Wallachia Season 9 under the tag Team Cobra.
