Two BetBoom Team members announced career breaks

BetBoom Team midlaner Danil gpk Skutin and team coach Anatoly boolk Ivanov announced temporary breaks ahead of the new season. The team representatives shared the news on the club's social media.

Gpk: I decided to take a break, most likely until the New Year. I'm a little tired mentally and physically after two long seasons. My plans are to improve my health, stream some different games for you, and then come back with renewed energy. I'm not retiring. Don't get your hopes up.

Boolk: The new season is starting, and I've decided to miss a few months. I'll spend this time with my family, as there are many important events that I can't miss. I'll continue to do some work online, but for the time being, the team will be without me.

Gpk and boolk became part of BetBoom Team in December 2022, when the organization formed a new Dota 2 roster. Since then, both have remained among the club's longest-serving members. For Skutin, however, the current break will be his second: in the fall of 2024, the midlaner temporarily stepped away from professional competition before returning to the active roster in January 2025.

Over the past year, the midlaner played 318 professional maps, winning 184 of them with a 57% win rate. His average stats were 9.11 KDA, 604 GPM, and 778 XPM. During this period, he most frequently played Puck, Ember Spirit, Slardar, and Storm Spirit.

Boolk, in turn, was responsible for team preparation and working with the players. According to Ivanov, he spends about half of his working time studying replays, looking for examples, and preparing materials, while the rest is devoted to communicating with the players and explaining in-game ideas. The coach also takes part in organizing the training process and selecting opponents for practice. In addition, he noted that some of the team's ideas come from analyzing matches played by high-ranked players.

The last two seasons have been eventful for the team. In 2025, the squad won FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 and PGL Wallachia Season 5, finished second at DreamLeague Season 26 and FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, and placed fourth at The International 2025.

In 2026, the team continued to regularly reach the later stages of major tournaments. BetBoom Team won PGL Wallachia Season 8, finished second at Esports World Cup 2026, third at BLAST SLAM VII, and once again finished The International 2026 in fourth place.

The next major tournament for BetBoom Team could be PGL Wallachia Season 9, which is scheduled to take place from 17.09.2026 to 27.09.2026 in Bucharest. The tournament is expected to feature 16 teams competing for $1,000,000. However, the list of participants has not yet been officially announced.

Ahead of the new season, the organization will have to decide on two replacements. According to rumors, position four support Vitaly Save- Melnik could switch roles and move to mid, while the club would then sign a new player to fill the vacant spot. It is currently unknown who will work with the team as coach.
