Position change, new player and coach: BetBoom Team introduced its updated roster
Vitaly Save- Melnik will start the new season with BetBoom Team in the mid lane, where he will replace Danil gpk Skutin, who has gone inactive. Alexander TORONTOTOKYO Khertek will serve as the team’s coach, replacing Anatoly boolk Ivanov. The announcement was posted on the club’s social media accounts.
The fourth position on the roster will be filled by Georgy swedenstrong Zainalabidov, known for his performances with Natus Vincere and 1WIN Team.

“It definitely won't be easy, but it'll be very interesting”, — Save- said after changing role.
Save- has changed role for the first time in his career — previously, he had only played in the fourth position. Over seven years on the pro scene, Melnik has established himself as one of the best support players, winning five Tier 1 tournaments and earning over $1,500,000. Vitaly first expressed his desire to try playing mid back in 2025. Also, TORONTOTOKYO making his coaching debut; previously, he won The International 2021 as part of Team Spirit.
Save- joined BB Team in 2022 and earned all his major titles under that organization’s tag. He and gpk are veterans of the club, as well as one of the most successful duos on the pro scene — together, they’ve played 1,142 matches with a win rate of 59.54%. They rank 18th in terms of the number of matches played as a pair, but only 9 duos have a higher win rate than them.
TORONTOTOKYO previously represented BetBoom Team as the fifth-position player. With him, the team placed highly in Tier 1 championships but did not win any of them.
swedenstrong is the least experienced member of the new roster. Of the major tournaments, he has only participated in the PGL Arlington Major 2022 and The International 2024, and has also played in two DreamLeague series championships.
Artem Pioneer Savelyev, CEO of BetBoom Team, noted that the current roster is more of an experimental one and will likely undergo changes again during the midseason. He also mentioned that swedenstrong demonstrated a good understanding of the game during tests, communicated actively, and fit right in with the team, while TORONTOTOKYO will bring a fresh perspective on drafts, builds, and gameplay. The updated roster will likely make its debut at PGL Wallachia Season 9, which kicks off on September 19.
