Results of previous game days:
Day 1
Today, MOUZ, Azure Ray, Alliance, L1GA TEAM, AVULUS, Heroic, Tundra Esports, and Team Falcons earned one point per series. It is worth noting that Nigma Galaxy received a technical defeat, which resulted in a victory for Falcons.
The rest of the matches were generally predictable, but we would like to highlight the unexpected victory of the newly formed Alliance roster over Invictus Gaming, which previously competed under the Dandelions banner. It should be noted that under their old tag, the team failed to qualify for any major tournaments in 2024.
In the next round, the teams that earned one point will play each other for a spot in the third round. The teams that did not earn any points today will also face each other, but in a different group.
Day 2
The first basket (2-0) includes the teams with the best results: AVULUS, Heroic, Team Falcons, and Tundra Esports. Two teams will take their places in the upper bracket of the playoffs tomorrow, while the rest will advance to the next round.
The second group (1-1) has the most participants: MOUZ, Alliance, Nouns, Azure Ray, Invictus Gaming, Nigma Galaxy, Natus Vincere, and L1GA TEAM. No one will be eliminated from this group, but they will also be divided into two groups, one of which will be in the danger zone.
The third basket (0-2) includes Apex Genesis, Infinity Esports, Beastcoast, and Team Waska. These teams have not won a single series so far. Based on the results of tomorrow's matches, two teams from this group will leave the tournament.
Day 3
At the end of today, Apex Genesis and Team Waska are leaving the tournament. Both teams failed to win a single game in the group, and Apex Genesis did not manage to take a single map.
The first teams to guarantee their place in the playoffs have also been determined: Team Falcons and Heroic. Falcons defeated AVULUS in a shutout today, while Heroic played an interesting match against Tundra Esports, emerging victorious with a score of 2:1.
Day 4
Three teams were eliminated from the tournament today: Nigma Galaxy, L1ga Team, and MOUZ. All teams lost their series today with a score of 2:1, with each club winning one match in the tournament and finishing in 12th-14th place.
After today's victory of Invictus Gaming over L1ga Team, the Chinese team managed to get out of the red zone of the group. Infinity, Beastcoast, and Nouns still have a chance to make it to the playoffs if the teams win one game in the series.
Day 5
Six teams faced off in the fourth round of the group stage. AVULUS, Tundra Esports, and Natus Vincere successfully advanced to the playoffs by defeating their opponents. It is worth noting that only the match between NAVI and Alliance was a full BO3 series. The rest of the matches ended in one-sided victories.
Invictus Gaming, Azure Ray, and Alliance will continue their fight in the fifth round, where they will take advantage of their last chance to stay in the tournament. Infinity Esports, Beastcoast, and Nouns are already waiting for them there. The matches will start on October 9 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern European Time.
Day 6
Today, Azure Ray and Invictus Gaming left the tournament. The last team to be eliminated was Alliance. The teams put up a good fight, but fell short of advancing to the next stage of the championship.
Teams such as Heroic, Team Falcons, AVULUS, Natus Vincere, Tundra Esports, Nouns, Beastcoast, and Infinity Esports advanced to the playoffs. The first match will start on October 10 at 10:00 CET.
Day 7
Today, the upper bracket playoff matches took place. Team Falcons, Tundra Esports, Heroic, and Nouns were able to win their series and remain in the upper bracket. Natus Vincere fell to the lower bracket after losing to Tundra. Infinity Esports, Beastcoast, and AVULUS also fell to the lower bracket.
Among today's interesting matches, we can highlight the series between Team Falcons and Beastcoast, in particular the third map of the confrontation, which lasted more than 50 minutes. On it, the teams began exchanging thrones, Beastcoast almost managed to break the enemy's base and win the map, but at the last moment, Falcons did not allow this to happen. The game ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of Team Falcons.
Day 8
Today, Infinity Esports and AVULUS were eliminated from the tournament. Another unexpected development was the entry of Tundra Esports into the lower bracket of the playoffs after their defeat by Heroic. However, the series between Team Falcons and Nouns ended quite predictably: Stanislav Malr1ne Potorak's team managed to finish the match with a score of 2-0.
Day 9
At the end of the ninth day, two American teams, Beastcoast and Nouns, left the tournament. Both teams performed excellently at the event: for them, this is their greatest achievement in recent times. We also had to say goodbye to Natus Vincere, which took fourth place. For the “born to win” team, this was also a huge success. The last time the Ukrainian team made it to the playoffs was at the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational, and before that, their performance at major tournaments left much to be desired.
The final day of PGL Wallachia Season 2 starts on October 13. The first match will be in the lower bracket final between Heroic and Tundra Esports at 11:00 CET. One of the teams will face Team Falcons in the grand final.
