Heroic and Team Liquid advanced to the BLAST SLAM VI playoffs

Today, the Play-in stage of BLAST SLAM VI came to an end, featuring matches between Heroic and Tundra Esports, as well as Team Liquid and Gamer Legion. Following the series, the winners advanced to the playoffs, while the losers were eliminated from the tournament, finishing in 7th–10th place.

The first series stunned the community, as Tundra Esports were unable to offer any resistance to Heroic, losing the series 0:2. On both maps, the Peruvian squad applied pressure from the opening minutes, preventing their opponents from gaining any advantage.

The standout player of the series was sixteen-year-old Peruvian midlaner Santiago TaiLung Olivos, who joined Heroic on January 16. He finished the first map with a 12–1–11 score on Beastmaster, and delivered a phenomenal performance on Puck in the second map, ending the game with 18 kills, 15 assists, and no deaths.

It is worth noting that this defeat ended Tundra’s championship streak in the BLAST Slam series. The team had won the previous four BLAST Slam tournaments, leaving no chance for other competitors.

In the second series, Team Liquid confidently defeated Gamer Legion 2:0, also securing a spot in the playoff stage. In head-to-head meetings, Liquid have won all five matches and did not drop a single map to their opponents.

On the first map, the Liquid squad dominated from the start and maintained their advantage until the end. The second map remained even until the 30-minute mark, but after a successful fight, Liquid’s lead began to grow rapidly, and the match was finished at 36 minutes.

As a result, all participants of the playoff stage have been determined and after a short break, six teams will battle for the tournament championship title.

BLAST SLAM VI will take place from 03.02.2026 to 15.02.2026. The main stage of the tournament will take place from 13.02.2026 to 15.02.2026 in Malta. Twelve teams will compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000. You can follow the tournament in detail in the report.
