The teams that received a direct invite to PGL Wallachia have become known

10 teams have received direct invitations to the previously announced PGL Wallachia. They are Aurora, HEROIC, Shopify Rebellion, Gaimin Gladiators, Xtreme Gaming, Team Falcons, Team Secret, Team Spirit, BetBoom Team and Team Liquid.

Based on the issued invites, analyst and commentator Vladimir Maelstorm Kuzminov shared his thoughts on the tournament format.

"The system, in the end, is as follows:

10 invites + 6 teams from qualifiers (apparently, excluding MENA, only the classic 6 regions).

Groups - Swiss system.

Playoffs - double elimination for 8 teams. All matches are best-of-three (Bo3), presumably including the final."

PGL Wallachia will take place from May 10th to 19th in Bucharest, Romania. The prize pool will amount to one million dollars. Open qualification for the tournament will take place from March 21 to 24, closed from March 25 to 28.
