MESA Invitational 2024

MESA Invitational 2024 is a tournament from the organizer Mongolian Esports Associates. Within the framework of the event eight teams will compete for a prize pool of 100 thousand dollars.

Participants:

• eight teams;
  
  • seven invited teams;
  • one team winner of the MESA Champions Fall tournament.

Group stage - 10.12.2024 - 12.12.2024:

• Two groups of 4 teams;
• Single round-robin;
• All matches are Bo2;
• The first place teams advances to the semifinals;
• 2nd and 3rd place teams advance to the quarterfinals;
• Remaining teams are eliminated.

Tiebreaker rules:

• If the tie is over a position of significance;
  • Two teams - a 1v1 will be played;
  • Three teams or more - a 1v1 round-robin will be played;
  • If the tiebreaker does not resolve following the first round of the round robin:
    • Three teams - the tiebreaker will be replayed;
    • Four teams - the matrix will be used to resolve the tie, adding the information from the tiebreaker matches to those gathered during the group stage.
• For ties that are not over positions of significance (in order of importance):
  1. Neustadtl score;
  2. Head-to-head record between the tied participants taking only game score into account;
  3. Record vs the first team below the tied teams, continuing to each subsequent team below the tied teams til the tie is resolved;
  4. 1v1 tiebreakers.

Playoffs - 14.12.2024 - 15.12.2024:

• Single-elimination bracket;
• All matches are Bo3.
