RAMZES666 explained why Glimmer Cape is being bought on core positions
Former Tundra Esports offlaner Roman RAMZES666 Kushnarev explained why Glimmer Cape, usually used by supports, has become a popular choice for core-position players. According to him, this item is currently the best magic resistance option, as developers have nerfed other artifacts. Roman shared his opinion during a personal Twitch stream.
Glimmer Cape is cheap magic resistance. Right now, no one buys Pipe of Insight because the item is quite expensive. You can get it on Dark Seer, but the choices are limited. Glimmer is cheap, provides invisibility and magic resistance. It has also started being used as a replacement for Eternal Shroud since it was nerfed. That’s why cores are picking up Glimmer, and it can still be sold later
The popularity of Glimmer Cape on core positions increased after BLAST SLAM II. One of the first players to buy it was current Tundra Esports offlaner Neta 33 Shapira. He practiced with it in matchmaking and bought Glimmer Cape in four out of six games at the mentioned tournament. In the grand final, the item also appeared among Gaimin Gladiators players — carry Alimzhan watson Islambekov and offlaner Marcus Ace Hoelgaard.
BLAST SLAM II took place from February 4 to 9. Ten teams competed for a $1,000,000 prize pool. Tundra Esports emerged as the tournament champion.
