paiN Gaming become champions of CCT Season 2 Series 8
In the grand final of CCT Season 2 Series 8, paiN Gaming confidently defeated 1Win Team with a 3:0 score and become the tournament champions. For the victory, the team earned $25,000 in prize money, while their opponents finished in second place with $8,000 reward.
This victory became a revenge for team, as they had previously lost 0:2 to 1Win in the upper bracket final, which forced them to play an additional series to reach the grand final.
Throughout all three maps, paiN Gaming did not allow their opponents to gain even a 2,000 gold advantage, applying pressure on all three lanes from the very first minutes.
The standout performer was the team’s carry, Peruvian player Maximo Wits Orozco, who played Luna in all three games and topped the net worth chart each time. Their midlaner Gonzalo DarkMago Herrera also performed strongly, dying only 3 times throughout the series.
It is worth noting that Orozco joined the team a month ago. He replaced David Parker Nicho Flores, who left the club due to internal conflicts. The organization also stated that Wits will remain with the team until the end of the season.
This roster had previously won CCT Season 2: SA Series 2, which took place at the end of January this year, although the team competed under the Peru Rejects tag at that time.
PaiN Gaming’s next tournament will be ESL One Birmingham 2026, which starts on March 22. Their first opponent will be Team Spirit and the full match schedule is available in the tournament journal.
