G2.Invictus Gaming defeated Azure Ray in the grand finals of the closed qualification for ESL One: Birmingham 2024 in China and qualified for the main stage of the tournament. In addition, G2 Invictus Gaming and Azure Ray set a record for the longest match on the professional Dota 2 stage. According to analyst Ben Noxville Stinuizen, the teams spent more than five and a half hours in the game.

The match took place as part of the qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham 2024 for China. The encounter was played in a best-of-5 format, and all five cards were required to reveal the winner. The shortest game was completed in 44 minutes.
