The organizers of The International 2025 asked every single one of the 80 players competing at the event to rate the very best TI winners in history by positions. The results of the vote were discussed by the English broadcast talents Ted Pyrion Flax Forsyth, Avery SVG Silverman, Trent Trent MacKenzie, Gabriel Thomas Lyrical Cruz, and Austin Cap Walsh.

Carry

Illya Yatoro Mulyarchuk won the vote for the best carry player by a large margin. As the casters noted, he made a particular impression at TI12:

Pyrion Flax: “I felt like TI12 there was a moment when he walked into the arena before the final and his aura was like, as the kids say, max aura on this guy. Like I mean, everyone was just like, "Oh my god, he's here to win the international." Like he just walked in bold bald boy buff and just it was incredible. You could feel every enemy team just shrinking and shriveling.”

Lyrical: “Not just play in the game, but outside of the game commanding that respect.

Pyrion Flax: “Just pure aura. Yeah. A worthy winner, I'd say.”

Lasse MATUMBAMAN Aukusti Urpalainen came in second, and Anathan ana Pham didn't even make it into the top 3.

Mid

In the vote for the best midlaner, Amer Miracle- al-Barkawi and Topias Topson Taavitsainen shared first place. Commentators noted Amer's high micro-skill, ability to solo win the games, and huge number of highlights. Topson was remembered for his unconventional thinking, crazy but effective ideas, and excellent team play.

Pyrion Flax: “Yeah. When you think about Miracle and Topson as joint firsts, they're worth the joint hall of fame, I would say."

Cap: "I think they're just the most iconic midlaners we've had. Both of them were a step ahead of their competition.”

Offlane

The greatest offlaner, according to the poll participants, was named Magomed Collapse Khalilov for his incredible personal performance on his signature Magnus and Mars.

Trent: “Collapse is incredible. Yeah. Completely, fair enough, deserved. He simply outplayed his opponents."

Pyrion Flax: "Yeah. Yeah. Agreed. I mean, I especially think anytime a player is able to make a particular hero, their signature hero, and win TI with it, you sort of think that's got to be solidified. Like Collapse Magnus is just too good.”

Second place in the top went to Neta 33 Shapira, for his unique strategies and two-time championship at TI with completely different rosters. And in third place was Sebastien Ceb Debs, who contributed greatly to the success of OG.

Soft Support

The participants of TI14 awarded the title of best 4th position to Jesse JerAx Vainikka, who also performed excellently and often played an important role in decisive moments.

Cap: “JerAx was the first name that came to mind."

Lyrical: "You know, he was sort of so well known for going off doing his own thing and then just like occasionally winning his team the game."

Pyrion Flax: "Yeah. JerAx multiple times as you said would just go off and basically save the day or win the game.”

Second place went to GH, who often forced his opponents to ban his signature heroes and was remembered as an excellent performer at the fourth position.

Hard Support

In the vote for the greatest fifth position player, the results were less predictable. Clement Puppey Ivanov, who has attended almost every tournament in The International series and is considered a great captain and drafter, did not even make it into the top 3, receiving no votes. Yaroslav Miposhka Naidenov was named the best.

Trent: "I feel like he is a fine wine. He is just aging, you know? He's just getting better and better. I feel like this year he's played almost his best Dota. Like I watched their games and I don't think there's another five who's like really on his level outside of Whitemon. Miposhka has just been consistently extremely good. And a big Dota brain as well. Him and Silent are like Ogre Magi."

Also in the top 3 fifth position players are the legendary captains of the championship rosters of OG and Team Liquid — Johan N0tail Sundstein and Kuro KuroKy Salehi Tahasomi.
