Participants of ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 told about surprises prepared by the organizers
The first LAN event of the new season in Dota 2 - ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 - will start tomorrow. The tournament features many teams coming from all corners of the world to the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. Many players and organizations expressed a generally positive opinion about the quality of the tournament organization.
Team Falcons Dota 2 leader Stanislav Malr1ne Potorak shared his opinion about his team's practices. According to him ESL provided the team with a lot of interesting mini gifts, such as cupcakes and macaroons with the team logo. Stanislav emphasized the small size of the computers and even compared them to mini thermoses.
Meanwhile, 9 Pandas shared that ESL organized a personalized gift for each team member in the form of different events for each player
- V-Tune can fly all of Kuala Lumpur in a helicopter - for the love of Gyrocopter;
- Kyotaka can visit the mall, for purchasing "Sadboy anime" merchandise since his previous nickname was depresed kid;
- Ramzes666 will go to nightclubs, one of which will be given a VIP pass by the organizers;
- Afoninje was offered to go on a tour to the bird park to get used to the crowd, as he had not been to the lanes for a long time before this tournament;
- Solo was sent to play youthful and energetic Mahjongg and trolled for replacing Rodjer.
Most likely other teams received the same gifts from the organizers, which also shows the excellent preparation of ESL. The tournament will be held without Team Spirit, but even in the absence of the champions of The International 2023 the lineup of participants turned out to be very cool. For example, for the first time since TI23 we will see Gaimin Gladiators in action, as well as updated rosters of LGD Gaming and Azure Ray.
