Team Liquid became BLAST SLAM VI champions

In the grand final of BLAST SLAM VI, Team Liquid confidently defeated Natus Vincere 3:1 to become the tournament champions, earning $400,000 in prize money. NaVi finished second and received $200,000.

The first map was played at a steady pace with an even game early on. However, after the 20 minute mark, Liquid began applying heavy pressure, pinning their opponents inside the base and gradually extending their lead. Once the gold advantage surpassed 25,000, NaVi were no longer able to hold the defense, and Liquid secured the opening game of the series.

On the second map, the squad of Bakyt Zayac Emilzhanov regrouped and managed to equalize the series in a tough 60 minute battle. They held the lead from around the 20 minute mark but were only able to close out the game after a full hour.

The third and fourth maps followed a similar pattern: Liquid dominated from the very start, steadily increasing their advantage until their opponents could no longer resist. On the third map, their lead exceeded 45,000 gold in just 33 minutes, while on the fourth it surpassed 30,000 in 32 minutes.

It is also worth highlighting Liquid’s draft preparation: throughout the series they consistently banned Huskar and Viper, and prioritized Razor in the first phase - heroes with which NaVi feel particularly comfortable. With these picks, NaVi had previously secured a confident victory over Team Yandex in the tournament’s semifinals.

In the post-match interview, support player Samuel Boxi Svan and head coach William Blitz Lee shared their emotions after the victory and thanked the team for the trust and hard work:

Boxi: The coach trusts me and asks which heroes I want to play. The group stage was tough for us, and the BO1 format isn’t the most comfortable, but in the playoffs we warmed up and everything went the way it should.

Blitz: My team played very well, and I’m very grateful to them. I also want to highlight our analyst Jabz - he did an incredible amount of work. Personally, he is the MVP of this tournament for me. I’d also like to say that NaVi’s coach Cy is a true professional. I don’t think this will be the last time we meet in a final.
