Update from 28.05.2025 15:00: Azure Ray has officially announced the signing of roster with Somnus on their Weibo page.

Lu Somnus Yao is likely to return to the Dota 2 pro-scene under the Azure Ray tag. According to unconfirmed information, he has formed a roster to compete in the qualifiers for The International 2025. A Reddit post links to a video on the Chinese platform Bilibili, which features a quote from the player:

“This might be the last TI qualifier. The team name is still AR”

Somnus and Monet have not played on the pro scene since leaving Team Turtle, with whom they attempted to qualify for ESL One Bangkok 2024. JT- and Pyw last played for Yakult Brothers, while xNova recently ended his stint with OG. All of the aforementioned players are currently participating in the show tournament Immortal Cup S1.

The open qualifiers for The International 2025 will take place from 31.05.2025 to 05.06.2025, and closed qualifiers will run from 04.06.2025 to 17.06.2025. The tournament itself will be held from 04.09.2025 to 14.09.2025 in Hamburg, Germany, with 16 teams participating.
