Moon Shard reduces attack speed — another critical bug has been discovered on Meepo

Having a Moon Shard in both Meepo’s inventory and backpack reduces his attack speed. The more Moon Shards the geomancer has in his backpack, the lower his attack speed will be; however, if you remove the Moon Shard from the inventory, the attack speed does not decrease. Team Spirit analyst Denis sikle Lerman reported the bug on his Telegram channel.

The bug is likely related to a change in patch 7.41: bonuses that increase health and mana regeneration, damage, attack speed, or mana burn are distributed equally among the hero and all his clones, a change that was followed by an equal distribution of health and mana in patch 7.41b, after which Meepo’s win rate dropped by 9%.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first critical bug involving Meepo since the release of Patch 7.41. The hero has been removed from matchmaking several times due to an exploit that allowed players to duplicate consumables to obtain a massive amount of gold early in the game.

Recently, several critical bugs related to changes in Tidehunter’s innate ability were discovered in Dota 2. Attempting to pick up a fish from a killed enemy without any free slots in the inventory or backpack caused the game to crash without saving the match history.

Additionally, if an enemy hero died near the “watermelon” while it was stunned, it became impossible to obtain any more fish for the rest of the game.

These issues have already been fixed by the developers: if there are no free slots available, the fish is automatically consumed upon pickup, and when an enemy hero dies, it now remains on the ground instead of disappearing.
