The Lima Major 2023 playoffs: Day 1 results and details

The first day of The Lima Major 2023 playoffs became a real test for both esportsmen and Dota 2 fans. The start of the first match between Gaimin Gladiators and Team Aster was delayed by almost two hours due to technical problems. But that was only the beginning, because after that all sorts of pauses led to the fact that four best-of-3 games in the upper bracket of the playoffs lasted for 16 and a half hours.

The main surprise of the first day of the main part of the tournament was the defeat of Team Spirit in the match against Shopify Rebellion (1:2). Now the Russian team will play against their rivals, PSG.LGD, in the lower bracket, and SR will face Team Liquid in the upper bracket semi-finals. In the second semi-final, we will see the confrontation between Gladiators and Entity.

Recall that The Lima Major 2023 runs from February 22 to March 5. 18 teams from 6 regions are participating in a tournament with a prize pool of $500k and 1,900 DPC points.
