Dota 2 average online has increased to a record high over the past six years

In November, the average number of players in Dota 2 exceeded 583,000 users for the first time in six years. In addition, according to SteamCharts, the peak online number was 903,000 players.

Since August 2025, when “Quartero`s Curios” and the compendium for The International 2025 released in the game, the average online number has not fallen below 500,000 users. At the same time, the peak online number for 2025 exceeded 900,000 only twice — in September and November.

Over the past six months, the average number of players has only decreased in October. The Dota 2 crossover with Monster Hunter attracted users again in November, with an increase of 8.30% compared to the previous month.

It should be noted that a major update is expected in Dota 2 this winter: new boss models and a special game mode have been discovered in the game, as well as a mention of a new hero named Arjun.
