Valve updated the DPC 2023 rankings, points accumulated by teams do not match with Liquipedia

Valve published the DPC 2023 rankings, which are not even close to the similar table published on Liquipedia. According to the official count no team has guaranteed a slot at The International 2023 yet, because a minimum of points required is 1,371, and Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid who currently share the first spot have 1,060 points each.

How can it be explained

Valve has not taken into account points for the DPC 2023 Tour 1. Also, there were penalized teams that should not have received a penalty for substitutions in the tournament (Team Liquid at The Lima Major 2023), and teams that made substitutions in the middle of the season got a smaller penalty than the one prescribed in DPC rules (15% instead of 20%). And the third reason for the mismatch is the points that the teams have already guaranteed themselves during the DPC 2023 Tour 3. These, too, were not taken into account.

Famous analyst Ben Noxville Steenhuisen commented on this situation:

You'd think after the furore last year regarding points that Valve would make a concerted effort to ensure their Official Points Listing is always correct (they only really need to do this 6 times in the entire season).

Recall that in 2022, due to a similar situation, Fnatic went to The International 2022 in Singapore instead of Virtus.pro. The Bears were one point short of the qualification, even though according to the Liquipedia table and Noxville calculations, VP should have got a direct ticket to TI11.
