«WP» (well played) in Dota 2 is a simple but important term used by players to show respect for good and coordinated gameplay by a team or opponent. It’s often said after successful team plays or at the end of a match. Usually, «WP» comes paired with «gg» (good game), forming the phrase «gg wp», which means a well-played game. Besides praising the gameplay, «gg wp» can also sometimes signal that a team acknowledges defeat and is ready to surrender, ending the match.
