Trolling
Trolling in Dota 2 is deliberate player behavior that prevents the team from winning. It can also refer to mockery or an attempt to provoke a negative reaction through words or actions.
Forms of trolling in Dota 2:
- feeding (intentionally dying to enemies);
- picking heroes without purpose or out of role (e.g., picking a jungler with no strategy);
- destroying one's own items or blocking allied neutral camps;
- disrupting communication (ping spam, insults, misinformation);
- AFK or "malicious passivity" — the player is in-game but not helping.
Trolling is considered toxic behavior and is punished by the report system.
