Beatrix
Beatrix is the name of Snapfire in Dota 2, and her pet is called Mortimer. She was added to the game with patch 7.23 in November 2019. Snapfire is likely based on early concepts of a unreleased hero "Mortar Team" developed during the DotA era. Her in-game voicelines feature numerous references to various films.
- "Say hello to my little friend!" is a reference to Tony Montana's line from the movie "Scarface".
In a way, this is also a reference to Huskar's line from original DotA, as he used Troll Headhunter's voice lines which contains the same reference as well. - "This here's my boomstick" is a reference to Ash's line from "Army of Darkness".
- "I love the smell of black powder in the morning" is a reference to Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore's line from "Apocalypse Now".
- "Oh give me a home, where the wildwings roam..." is a reference to the Western folk song "Home on the Range".
- Snapfire's voice actress, Laraine Newman, was a character in the 1993 movie "Coneheads", which explain the responses to Dark Seer as references to said movie.
