What is Crimson?

Crimson is a shortened name for the item Crimson Guard, which grants the hero a significant amount of health and armor, and upon activation creates a shield around allies within a radius that reduces incoming physical damage for a short time. This makes it especially useful against teams with high physical damage and mass attacks. The item is often purchased by tanks and supports who are in the center of team fights to increase team survivability and reduce the effectiveness of enemy attacks. Crimson Guard is also combined with other defensive items for maximum effect in team fights.
